Lovely night away

Never been before but we had a lovely time. The site is well maintained, toilets are great. We went to the family quiz, had ice creams from the shake and waffle van and drinks from the bar. Kids loved the playgrounds. There was quite a bit of noise from our neighbours but someone from the site came and spoke to them and by 11:30pm it was all quiet. Would definitely come again.

amazing

my first time camping and on a campsite and I can day i thoroughly enjoyed it.. the whole experience was great. the place itself is set in such a beautiful location. was very impressed with the facilities. the lady at reception was amazing. we forgot our lads football and she brought us one from her home. thank you for that it was very appreciated. Will defo be going back!!! and for longer

Great place, would stay again

Lovely stay at Blaithwaite campsite. The staff are friendly and the bar/food vans were nice to see and go along to. An ice cream van even came on to the site on Saturday afternoon. The only downside was that there wasn't a hairdryer or any plugs in the bathrooms, showers are limited in one field (only 2) but we didn't have to wait long if at all for one. The kids enjoyed the parks and crazy golf and the goats, chickens and sheep were a great addition. We will definitely stay again.

Excellent family site

We loved our stay! The location isn't too far from Keswick and is set in lovely countryside. We loved the Barn and the bar located inside. Whilst we didn't have opportunity to grab a pizza, the waffles were a treat. Our little one enjoyed the play area and loved the goats. It was very peaceful and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Only little negative is the pressure in the showers - if people are washing their pots/pans - the pressure drops considerably. I do also feel the toilet area at the Paddock could do with a little TLC and a second mirror put up, for example. Maybe for future - have one shower block male/female sides with a boiler attached, with separate toilets/utilities area.

Loved it!

First time camping so was a bit worried especially with a dog & a 4 year old but we all loved it! Site was great, people were all friendly & helpful, we even loved the family dog Bella who would come over & see us (ok maybe she just wanted treats!😆) Plenty to do on site , showers & toilets open 24/7 & enough of them so not waiting about. Will deffo be back next summer for longer this time.

Family oriented

First time to stay and will surely return.

Beautiful place to stay

Trip was cut short due to high winds, which isn't the sites fault. Beautiful place with plenty facilities and lots to do for kids. Site owners are warm friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be returning.

Great campsite

It was great experience. Lots of activities for kids. Family friendly.

Highly recommend

Highly recommend 😊 We had a lovely stay - the campsite was clean and peaceful. Our son never got bored thanks to the big play area and fun playground. The toilets and showers were spotless. The staff were super friendly and helpful - really made us feel welcome. Great place for a relaxing family break!

Great time had by all!

Loved this campsite, perfect and beautiful location with great facilities. All the kids were totally enamoured and the goats were a hit! We will be back!

Beautiful just lacking

Lovely location, very rural but that's what we wanted. Stunning grounds with adorable cat that we wanted to take home! The down points were the lack of any facilities so no little shop or food on site. No mirror or hooks for towels in the bathroom. Floors needed a mop. With these extra added things in the bathroom that would be 5 star.

Great location & facilities

The campsite is in a great location to explore Keswick and the surrounding area. The showers and toilets were spotless. Having a bar on site was great as well as having the food vans on the Friday & Saturday. The only negative for us as a family with a young child was the 11pm quiet time as some of the groups around us did not adhere to this.

Hidden gem with great facilities

Great little place to spend a few nights away in the lakes. Great facilities and clean too which is always a bonus.

Lovely site

I camped for two nights here. I received a warm and helpful welcome and was shown to a large grass pitch. The site had lots of families but noise after 10pm, was minimal and I got two great nights of sleep. Toilets and showers were great. The site is beautifully located. I used it as a base to walk up Scafell Pike (1 hour drive) and some Wainwrights around Buttermere.

We loved it!

Site is clean and quiet. Very dogs friendly. My little boy loved playing "crazy golf". Tent was very clean. Thank you very much

Amazing

Excellent facilities, we stopped over for the night and had a brilliant stay. The crazy golf, chickens and goats were a lovely surprise to spend some time. Facilities were super and just what we needed as campers.

Beautiful site with wonderful staff

We just got back from an incredible weekend camping trip and I'm still grinning from ear to ear! The scenery was absolutely stunning - the campsite was nestled among beautiful trees and the views were breath-taking. But what really made the trip special was the staff - they were so friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make sure I had an amazing time. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway with stunning natural beauty and top-notch service, I'd highly recommend this campsite!

Camping hot tub

Our greeting was warm and friendly. The location was lovely, however, the facilities were a little lacking from the camping point of view, as that was all we used. The washing up facilities when we arrived were dirty and had to be cleaned before I could use them. The same for 1 out of 2 toilet and shower rooms. This was, however, rectified but not until the following morning. The hot tub, however, was great - very clean and in working order but again, it was lacking a little privacy, the enclosure could do with being closed off a little more as it was in full sight of the other hot tub and passers by, unless you had a large vehicle to block it off.

Thank you for staying with us and your kind words :) With the facilities being outside they do often get a little dirty however we do endeavour to clean these throughout the day, if you decide to stay again if you just pop to the office with any issues we will be more than happy to rectify any issues at the time to alleviate and problems for your stay. The hot tub pitches are secluded as much as possible we have many positive comments on the pitches adding the element of luxury for campers :) Thanks again for your comments.

Nice but could be better

Overall, it was a lovely stay with the hot tub. However, the facilities could be better with some very minor, non expensive improvements. Some hooks in the shower room as nowhere to put your towel or clothes, a cheap stool and a mirror above the sink. Wouldn't cost a lot but would make a huge difference seeing as the price of the pitch was so high - thanks.

Our stay

We stayed here for 1 night using the hot tub. Lady who met us was lovely and walked us to our camping plot, which was a nice touch, showing us the toilets etc on the way. Toilets/showers lovely and clean. Just missing a mirror in the toilet but no great issue! Lovely spacious campsite, lovely and clean. Hot tub immaculate, lovely and warm. Ordered a takeaway which we thought was very expensive for what we got, but because of the weather, we couldn't really use BBQ. We went into the bar which again was a lovely atmosphere and sat and played cards. Really enjoyed our stay with the kids. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent site, friendly and clean

Staff very helpful and friendly. Very clean toilets, showers and washing facilities. Spacious pitches and reasonable prices. Handy for Keswick, Whinlatter and Carlisle. Excellent Communication from booking to leaving.
