Great campsite, very clean in every aspect of the park. Lots of the kids to do. Liked that you could choose your own pitch.

Wonderful stay

Stayed for 2 nights with my 2 young daughters, plenty for them to stay occupied: 2 great parks and a fantastic pool, family fun hour at the pool was brilliant, we had so much fun. Shower blocks, toilets, and washrooms all very convenient and a spar shop stocked with everything you need. Electric grass pitches perfect in size and easy to get to, we walked down the cliff to West bay each night for food and was such a lovely walk, about 15 to 20 minutes. Loved staying here, would definitely recommend and one I'd come back to again and again.

Mini break

Nice place to stay and easy access to park with clear instructions. Bar/restaurant a little disappointed as took a while to order food and receive it. Would have been nice to have more meal options for the evening like jacket potatoes, sausages, chicken burger etc. Staff great and very friendly. I also think having to pay to use the pool if you've already paid to stay a bit disappointing as campers should have it as part of the stay. Spar shop reasonably priced with everything you need.

Great site, amazing location, but pub could be better

What a location - utterly beautiful views, well laid out, peaceful, clean and well maintained. Cannot fault the site! However; the on-site pub could be improved, the service at the bar was really slow every time we were there and on the 'curry' night it was at least 30 mins to get near the bar, we left after 10 minutes of queuing. Considering the amount of visitors on site a few more staff in the bar/restaurant would have really helped the guests experience. Aside from the poor service at the bar, everything else was brilliant and we had a delightful stay.

Great holiday location. Really clean well kept site. Very quiet even through peak season. Wonderful walk to a very dog friendly beach. All staff were super helpful and pleasant. Would def recommend.

Pretty location

It was great to wake up to stunning views. My family and I enjoyed our stay and loved the fact that we were only a 20 minute walk away to two beaches. The facilities were clean and the members staff were really friendly. Everything was clearly sign posted and we'll thought through for our convenience. I especially loved the fact that we could freeze our ice blocks in the communal freezer and that there was access to washing machines and irons. It was also possible to recharge phone chargers for a small fee. Only downside was the Jurassic Fields music festival which went on for 3 nights of our 4 night stay, it would've been good to know how much this would affect us at the time of booking. The music was quite loud and went on until 11pm. This was frustrating as we were in a lovely, peaceful location and it would've been good to benefit from this.

Quick Dorset break

A very well organised and clean site that was ideal for what we wanted - good access to beaches. Bridport was very close - we walked - and had lots of good cafes and pubs. The site was very busy and this made finding a pitch harder than it needed to be - driving around a very busy area on the look out for a pitch could be avoided with some kind of interactive board at the entrance displaying empty pitches. Wouldn't stay again because it was much bigger than our usual places but can definitely see its appeal ☺️

Two families, two tents

just got back from amazing weekend weather was fantastic but the campsite was lovely and clean. All the staff for fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble food at the restaurant huge portions toilet and shower. Block was kept very clean with plenty of hot water. Would definitely come back in the future. Keep up the good work.

Highlands

First time staying. Just myself and my dog. Accommodation was perfect, site and facilities no problems. Lovely views. Just 2 issues I had. There is a dog shower which is perfect for washing dogs off after beach, but its location on site, I was only able to use it once. It's located too close to the wall for dogs to manoeuvre to it, the ramp is very unstable and slides on the floor when my dog did try to use it, so I had to pick her up to get her in and lift her out (she's a Labrador so not small or light). Not enough room to move around the bath to get her in it gently unfortunately. Secondly, my glamping pod was next to the outdoor taps for campers (drinking water/waste water). This wasn't an issue but on several occasions, campers emptied their toilet buckets down waste water section and there was human faeces left on top of drain cover, not nice to see or smell in this heat and unhygienic. Check in time is 4pm and checkout was 9:30am. It would be nice if check in times could be earlier! Apart from this, me and the dog had a lovely break away also celebrating her 10th birthday. We will be back.

Nothing but the best!

Highland End site is located on the Jurassic Coast and is probably the best family friendly site in the area. From its generously spaced grass pitches, excellent ablutions, to its all entertainment bar, there is nothing that you are left wanting for. The Spar shop is competitively priced, the bar and restaurant are an average price for the area and the majority of the site is dog friendly. The swimming pool and spa facilities are fantastic for either a relaxing start to the day or a wind down after a day of exploring or whatever you fancy. There are supermarkets and shops all within a 10 minute drive, although the roadworks, which are outside the site's control, can make the traffic conditions a bit of a pain but certainly not impossible for any reasonably competent driver. I would recommend this site 200% to all families who want to have a relaxing time in beautiful surroundings. We had no noisy neighbours, but if you do, I am sure the campsite staff would deal with this situation promptly.

Nice site but needs better info

Overall, we had a pleasant stay and the location is excellent, with beautiful surroundings and easy access to the local area. However, we were disappointed with the little Shepherd's Field camping area. At £96 for two nights, we expected better value for money. The pitch was on a noticeable slope, which made camping less comfortable, and the facilities were not quite as described when we booked. We had also expected the on-site restaurant to be serving breakfast, but there was no food available most mornings, which meant we had to make alternative arrangements. The site itself has plenty of potential, and the staff was friendly, but we feel the information provided before booking should be clearer so guests know exactly what to expect. With a few improvements, it could be a much better experience.

Great stay!

Great place to stay! Great facilities all round. Beautiful views and the kids loved fossil hunting. Steep hill to the beach if you have little ones, but bigger kids were great with it. Staff really polite and check in was easy.

GR8 2 night Stay

Still new to campervaning, but this site had everything we could have asked for, not overwhelmed with childrens entertainment either.

What a livwly site. Easu walking distance to Eype Beach and West Bay. Lovely dog walks and many benches yo sit and watch the luvely sea views.

Great location but not very happy staff

Not very happy staff at all. Got the impression they didn't want to be there. This seemed consistent throughout from reception, who was really unhelpful, said we shouldn't need to be here, just use the internet app. When I asked best the pitch to stay, she said that she doesn't do camping or motorhomes, just a hotel only girl. To restaurant staff who seemed very unhappy and it's only July? So season has just began. To pool staff who were buried in their mobile and didn't even acknowledge you. The best staff were the garden and maintenance staff who always smiled and said hello.

Lovely break!

Great 5 nights spent at this beautiful campsite, weather definitely helped! Only downside was the additional costs for pool and soft play, which stack up, and not sure shop/restaurant prices were great value for money.

Great site. We had a very relaxed holiday and shall return

The site is well appointed, the facilities are clean and cleaned regularly. The staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The animals, at night, provided an adventure and talking point. Martin's restaurant is well worth a visit, we had Sunday lunch/carvery and it was very good. The onsite baking of croissants and baguette was an extra feature along with a well stocked shop for all the essentials.
