Clear filters Good place for families
VW-Type Campervan - Premium Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring Pitches Aug 2025 Just spent one night here as we were trying out our new campervan.
Welcome at reception was lovely (always a good start!). Struggled a bit to find our pitch, but when we did it was spacious. The overall site was very clean. The ladies toilets / shower block was clean (didn't use the shower so can't comment on that). Husband struggled to get into the men's block - the code didn't seem to work. The restaurant was fine - food was better than I was expecting and good value for money.
The site was quiet at night (apart from a few jets from RAF Lossiemouth!). Great access to beach / lighthouse.
Overall I would recommend this for families.

The location of Silversands is absolutely beautiful, right beside a huge beach and looking onto the lighthouse. The entertainment for the kids was great, bar food pretty average and pool booking system not the greatest.
We stayed in one of the camping pods which I would say is not worth the money. The pod didn't feel like it had been properly cleaned and the shared facilities were disgusting. Luckily we went prepared so we were able to manage without much use of these. However, we had been there for 3 nights and can confidently say the wash up area and toilets had not been cleaned at all. I have attached images of the wash up area as this was extremely disappointing.
Beautiful place to visit but would maybe stay somewhere different.
Very pleasant stay
Camping Pod - Ensuite Camping Pods (Dog Friendly) Jul 2025 The pod was very roomy with a comfortable bed. Our private toilet and shower was nice.
We made use of the nearby bbq area to cook our food on with our camping equipment. Lossiemouth beach is five mins walk away and absolutely beautiful with lovely sea to swim in. Our dog loved it!
Good location but lack of standards
Camping Pod - Camping Pods (Dog Friendly) Jul 2025 Nice location, big site, easy access everywhere, was plenty busy and kids loved it.
However, the pod was dirty, don't know how long the floor wasn't washed for and the recycling/bin points were always overflowing all day, every day, which meant seagulls and other birds were pulling apart the bags all over the place and pretty much living in the recycling points.
The main ones at toilet block wasn't easily accessed for the amount of rubbish on the ground either.
Glamping stay
Camping Pod - Camping Pods (Dog Friendly) Jul 2025 We had a 2 night stay in two glamping pods. The beds were very comfy and the pod was spacious. It could have benefited from a small kettle and fridge.
The swimming pool was great and well maintained. The toilet block and restaurant were often unclean which was disappointing. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Not impressed Single Axle Caravan - Premium Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring Pitches Jun 2025 We thought the site facilities were not the best. The toilets and shower blocks were dirty.
All the waste bins were full to overflowing, the seagulls were loving it. The bar and restaurant were expensive. The pitch itself was adequate however, this was almost double the price of better sites in Aviemore we stayed at on this trip.
