Ideally located for exploring the Scottish Borders, Bonnie Park is nestled in the quaint village of Bonchester Bridge and offers a peaceful setting for camping and touring along the bank of the River Rule. There are both grass and hardstanding pitches for tents and tourers respectively, some of which have river views and have electric hook up. The village Inn, The Horse and Hounds is just a five minute walk away along with a children's play park.

The wardens have to be amongst the best I've witnessed at any site. Polite, helpful and kept the site spotless. Took time to talk to you and to ask each day if everything was ok. Shower and toilet facilities excellent. Pub next door! Not a lot for kids to do though. Probably the sites only failing.

Beautiful site next to the river. Toilets, showers and site very clean. Once you arrive, Paul and Penny welcome you and show you to your reserved plot and help with any issues you have. Pub next door does food and drinks at reasonable prices and Hawick is only 15 mins away with a Morrisons to stock up. Really will be booking again soon.

Thank you so much for your awesome review. We (as campers ourselves) always knew smart, clean and well presented facilities matter to campers, which is why we invested so much into the design, build and maintenance of them. We hope you return to Bonnie Campsite in the future and again thank you for taking the time to leave our campsite a review.

Three quiet nights at Bonnie Park. The site was clean, the facilities clean and modern. The addition of a kitchen space with microwave and washing/drying machines was a great addition to the site. The wardens were really friendly, highly visible and helpful. A pub just up the road, literally a couple of minutes walk and serving good value meals was a bonus. So, three lovely nights in a great location was in my view money well spent.

We have just had the most wonderful stay at Bonnie Park. Situated beside a river and a small, family run pub/restaurant, the Horse and Hound, perfect for grabbing a drink and a bite to eat. Bonnie Park has the nicest facilities I’ve seen at a campsite. The fire pit was a lovely addition to the chillier nights, and of course mandatory marshmallow roasting. We arrived on Saturday afternoon to a packed campsite. By Sunday morning, all the families had packed up and headed home ready for the working week ahead so we had almost all of the site to ourselves on Sunday night. Everyone was super friendly, especially the wardens, Paul and Penny, and we left wishing we had just one more night. We would definitely return in the future. Thanks, Paul and Penny, for making our stay so warm and welcoming.

The family loves it. The facilities were spotless and the showers was hot. Aside from the basics, the managers were first class always happy to help. The location was great for me and the kids. The 5yrs review is "Bonnie Park is super awesome" and the 7yr olds review "Bonnie Park is 5 out of 5 stars" We'd definitely be going back.
Site's response
Hi Ross, thank you. What a wonderful review from the kids. We are so glad you and your family enjoyed your time with us. See you next time!

Good campsite with very helpful friendly staff and an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area. The site is small, but clean and tidy and location is good with plenty of space for every pitch. A river runs through the site and in the summer would be lots of fun for kids and dogs. The staff were superb and couldn't do enough for us. I have only marked the facilities lower than normal as there is really only one sink available for washing up and a couple of extra outdoor sinks would make a big difference in keeping the wash-up queues down. Other than that, a great little site and worth a visit.
Site's response
Hi John, thank you for taking the time to review us. Glad you and your family liked our little quiet campsite. We have 2 sinks in the kitchen.. but we are looking at adding some outside in the future. Hope to see you, Jet and your family again!

Can't rate this wee site highly enough, great location and a pub with good food nearby. Facilities second to none, quite simply the best. The cleanest and most tasteful toilet block I have ever seen on a campsite. A car is needed to get out and about to the nearby towns but coming back to the peace of this wee campsite is just wonderful. The owners were on site and were very helpful. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend.

We love it here! We have had numerous stays now and can't wait to revisit this year. We have stayed on our own, with friends and family, and everyone loves it. The facilities are excellent and clean, there's fantastic walks, a pub very close to walk to which does food. We also take our paddle board, as you can access the river that runs along the site and we also drive to the nearby loch for great paddle boarding.

Thank you so much Nicola. We love having you and glad you love our little slice of heaven!

Can't fault the place! Staff and owners friendly and helpful. Toilets, showers, washer, dryer and microwave are all modern and kept immaculate. Dog walking field and riverside walk, with Hawick nearby for shopping. Jedburgh is definitely worth visiting to have a picnic by the river. Stayed with wife and dogs. Can't wait to go back.

This is a new campsite - well actually, after talking to the campsite owners, it was one for several decades and then closed about 25 years ago and left to nature! They bought and completely rebuilt it about 3 or 4 years ago. The toilet and shower block looks brand new, with fixtures and fittings not out of place in a high end hotel! There's even free washing machine and clothes dryer for campers to use. They have documented their self build of the building, which was clearly derelict before doing the work to it. Incredible job and one of the best on any campsite I've seen in over 20 years camping. They are campers themselves (it shows) so the place seems to attract "real" campers and quite a few from Europe as well. By that, I mean they are all respectful and there's a nice camaraderie around the campsite, with people sharing tips and experiences with one another, which is quite cool. Not only that, but there's a really big mix of types of caravan, tourers, tents, tipis, trailer tents, roof tents, 4x4s, campervans, motorhomes - you name it. You are guaranteed to bump into someone interesting. Very picturesque with a river running through it (we chose a riverside pitch) that people were using kayaks and paddleboards on. There were kids with their mums and dads paddling in the river, which didn't seem deep (we didn't go in). There is a pub next door with food on offer but we never ate there but other campers said it was good. The locals (small village) are very friendly and helpful, as you might expect in Scotland, and keen to offer advice on places of interest to visit. Basically, it is a cracking site that we will definitely return to and would highly recommend to other serious campers. Top tip - it is quiet remote so make sure you have enough supplies with you before you have to venture out to the nearest shop, which is a good ten minutes drive away.
