Wonderful, Quiet, Clean Campsite
Medium Tent - Large Optional Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 This is a wonderful campsite, with clean and tidy facilities (including hot showers), welcoming owners, and lots of space in a great location. We originally booked without EHU, but when offered an EHU, I emailed the site to see if we could upgrade our booked and they were lovely and accommodating. The site is quiet and peaceful, so quiet in fact you can hear the local steam train. It’s located close to Pickering, and is on the doorstep of the North York Moors. There are two large fields, one with regulars’ caravans - which told me that people must keep coming back and we can see why! They also have a little shop run by the owners, selling ice cream and coffees - cost me a fortune in both as they tasted so good, we couldn’t resist!
Last minute night away

Lovely little campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Optional Electric Grass Pitches (Two Person) Apr 2026 Had a great weekend stay at Bank Top Camping. The site is lovely and quiet, nice big pitches. Fantastic walks straight off site. Clean facilities and plenty of hot water in the showers. The site is remote but only a 10 min drive to Pickering. We walked down to Levisham and got on the steam train to Gothland. Thoroughly recommend this. We'll definitely be back.
Lovely quiet site
VW-Type Campervan - Optional Electric Grass Touring Pitches Apr 2026 What a lovely little site, perfect for my quick one night getaway.
Keren greeted me at the gate and was very welcoming indeed. She even lent me some levelling ramps so I wasn’t sleeping on an angle!
The location is pretty with some lovely countryside views around and when I popped down to use the facilities during the night, the stars were out and I got an absolutely amazing view of the night sky due to the remote location.
