Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Touring PitchesJul 2026

Nice location and away from the road, this is a quite basic site, a good stopover point near to Ross-on-Wye, with access to Wales, Herefordshire and the Cotswolds. The toilets and showers are clean and tidy. Thankfully the shower was hot. The pub onsite is very nice, with helpful staff and a huge beer garden with many shaded areas - ideal in the 33° heat. Worth a visit en route …..

A very different campsite to what we’ve stayed at before. Nice location, right next door to a pub, nice cider and pizza. Basic facilities but the they were very clean. The only thing that went a bit awry was that someone had taken our pitch and no one was on site to discuss this with. We were only there one night so sorted it out amongst outselves.

Great pub, great beers and ciders, pizza looked great, really friendly staff. Site ok, basic, but the 'residents'. One had circular saw or similar going full pelt Saturday afternoon and another laying a patio Friday afternoon. Not the peace and quiet we expected.

First time here and for sure it won't be the last time. We had a fabulous stay and was impressed by the whole place, location, facilities and most of all, the staff at The Yew Tree. No problems or issues whatsoever. Well worth a visit with fantastic pizzas on site. Decent shop 100 yards away and Monmouth and Hereford only a short drive away. Well done every one 👏

Clean and tidy

Nice site with immaculate showers. Pitches on a slight gradient, so don’t forget your leveling kit. Nice pub with a good selection of ciders

We are not cider drinkers, but the shop and selection was impressive. We chose the site for golf and walking location. The Yew Tree only does pizzas but they were very good. The Red Lion a 20 min walk through the back lanes, did a lovely Sunday roast and evening meal. We came close to death walking the main A49 on Sunday with the dogs! And came back on the side lanes. The busy road noise is continual from the site. We never met the owners. The site is partially mowed, the facilities were very clean and adequate the shower pressure and hot water was excellent. All you need. The smell of the sewage system in front of the parking would be shared by all depending on the wind direction. They could do with a carbon filter on the vent! Sadly, the dog walking round there extensive old fashioned orchard only happened once as the horseflies were horrendous! But the lanes opposite gave us pleasant evening walks during the heat while we stayed.

Only stayed for 1 night but what a little gem .Perfect little campsight ,peaceful ..very ! campsite was small ,quiet and right next to the pub ,literally through the hedge and we were in the large beer garden .Toilets and showers were very clean and amenities excellent ie chemical waste and washing up facilities very good. The food was the best ive eaten out in a long time, the wood-fired pizzas were literally the best I've tasted, and I've eaten a lot!Feta salad and the triple cooked chips were to die for ! the cider shop onsite was stocked well and staff were very knowledgable on the different ciders ,couldn't resist buying a few !2 orchard walks located to the side of the pub .We will definitely go back here!

Enjoyable stay - but site landscaping and field could have been tidier. Enjoyed the stay, quite spacious plots but shame the grass had not been cut for a while. Don't mind the borders being long (good for the bugs), but main areas needed a cut. Toilets and dish-washing facilities were great. Thanks.

The site was great very friendly staff great atmosphere the toilets and showers where extremely clean and heated for a small site could not fault it.The lighting was good and very attractive planting . There were 2 bands playing on one of the nights so a bonus. The price was only 25 pounds a night very good price. Have payed 35 pounds at other places and not nearly as good .

Great pub and pizzas!

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Touring PitchesMay 2026

Yew Tree Inn is a smashing little site! Around the back of the pub with only a few pitch- ups (so nice and quiet). Loos and showers clean and modern. Excellent pizzas served at the pub (Thurs-Saturday only, and it’s busy so book a table in advance. There is a Red Lion about a mile up the road, serving more traditional pub food). While we were at the Yew Tree Inn, there was a sort of open mic Blues afternoon with very talented musicians taking part. Superb ciders and ales are served! Lots of walking opportunities, especially around their impressive apple and pear orchards. Ross is only a couple of miles away. It probably isn’t a site to use for a fortnight’s trip but a few days is perfect!

Great little find, lovely staff

What a lovely find. Great for just an overnight stay. No checkin required as it was all done on line and then our pitch number was emailed out. Clean shower block but not separate for male and female. Great pub on site selling local beers and ciders. The loaded fries van was amazing. Once ordered, we went for a drink in the pub and they brought our order in to us. So tasty and great value for money. Not much to do for longer than a night without driving anywhere. Level pitches. A great one nighter.

Lovely quiet site

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitch (No Awnings)May 2026

Lovely quiet site. Pitches not very level but wasn't a problem as had ramps with us. Toilets and showers clean and functional. The site is attached to a pub which got quite busy on the evening, serving fresh, wood cooked pizza, which were fantastic. Has a nice beer garden to the rear, also have their own walks around the area, so if you have a dog, highly recommended.

lovely site

A great location for me as I was fishing just down the road. Not somewhere I'd come for longer than a night stopover, but for that purpose, the Yew Tree does the job just fine. It's a bit scruffy around the edges - don't come expecting manicured lawns etc. But the hardstanding was good. Distance between pitches was good and facilities fine.

Loved our stay for a weekend here. Stayed at the end of February, but we were luckily with the weather. Bus stop on the same side of the pub just about 200 yards up. £3 each into Ross-on-wye. Had the feeling the pub would come to life in the nicer weather. Will definitely be going back in the summer.

No fuss, good value, well located

Well located site, with basic but good facilities and a warm, welcoming pub. Pitches are very narrow to manoeuvre a caravan when the ground is muddy. Overall good value.

Lovely pub!

Parked on a gravel pitch at the back of the pub. Spotlessly clean toilets, shower and washing up area. Pub has lovely beer garden and a range of local ales and ciders. Very friendly, comfortable feel. Could do with some signage or joining instructions, as it was unclear how to access the pitches. Some road noise, but it didn't bother us.
