Lovely location and facilities

Very clean facilities, kitchen and shower facilities were spot on, very clean, lovely hot water. The recreational facilities may benefit from there being more extensive and more undercover seating but it didn't stop ue enjoying ourselves

Beautiful setting

Fantastic site, Idyllic setting. Great facilities all very well presented and maintained. Friendly host who was very welcoming and helpful. Looking forward to returning in the not too distant future.

Lovely site

Made very welcome by Philip, the owner, on arrival and helped throughout our short stay. Facilities very clean and modern, sauna was available nightly if wanted and firepit allowed. Pitches were well spaced and it was nice to see the meadow grass thriving between them. Conveniently close to the cycle route we had chosen to do. All together, a very welcome break.

Absolutely beautiful

Sometimes you just stumble across little gems, this happens to be one of them. Knowle Meadow was absolutely wonderful. From it's location to the facilities to how lovely Phillip was, everything had been thought of. This really is a 5 star campsite and a beautiful place to come and reset.

Heavenly!

What a beautiful, peaceful spot. This was our first camping trip as a family so we only did two nights, but we wished we were staying for longer. The site is beautiful and peaceful and you are surrounded by trees and nature. The kids loved running around and exploring. The facilities were fantastic, with a wonderful shower and toilet block and a sauna - worthy of a boutique hotel never mind a campsite! Close enough to pubs and shops to easily get supplies, but instantly feeling like you are miles away from civilisation once you enter the site - perfect for a tranquil family stay. The hosts were perfect - plenty of helpful advice about the area and just lovely people. This is a little treasure - we are so lucky to have places like this in the UK! We will be back.

Pure bliss

Without a doubt, the nicest campsite I've ever visited. A beautiful meadow. We stayed in the shepherd's hut, which had everything we needed and was super clean and so cosy. The woodburning sauna was amazing! Such a lovely touch. The owners were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. I will definitely be returning. Such a relaxing place to be.

100% recommend!

Relaxing, luxurious and clean staycation with lovely hosts! Overall, we had such a lovely time, with lots to do and it was a very comfortable and luxurious stay. We would 100% recommend Knowles Meadow Camping as it has everything you would need and want for a luxury glamping experience! Thank you so much for having us, we can't wait to come back sometime in the future. The Yarrow shepherd's hut was very luxurious and modern with lovely finishing touches. It feels like a 5* hotel and has everything you need - very comfy bed, table and chairs, mini fridge, hob (including everything you'd need to cook for 2!) kettle and toaster! There was even ground coffee, tea and sugar! The hot tub was incredible and very relaxing, with even fairy lights lit up at night! The views of the hills and trees are truly magnificent in a calm and quiet surrounding area. There's also a fire inside the hut and fire pit outside, so I can imagine it's lovely all year round. The showers and toilets are very clean and remind me of a boutique hotel! There is also an area for washing up and a fridge/freezer for other campers or extra space for those in the hut. There is also some more additional seating throughout the site, including some sheltered seating. There is also an honesty shop with bits and bobs that you may want/need like fresh eggs and veg, pasta, wood for fire and other things. Also, in the same bit, there are some helpful tips and guides on walks and things to do in the area. There is also a very picturesque sauna but it was a bit too hot to go in for us (during the heatwave). Otherwise, we would have loved to have gone in. Philip and his wife were very friendly and helpful with recommendations and ensuring we had everything we need for our stay. They had some lovely ideas and recommendations for where to eat and things to do. We went for dinner one night at the Bell at the Broadway, which was very lovely pub with tasty food! We also had a walk through the fields to the Chard Reservoir which was beautiful, and had some interesting history behind it! Perry's cider mills is also a must, great cider, cute farm shop and café and stunning field of apple trees.

Definitely will be back

Absolutely loved staying in the Shepherd's hut. The campsite is lovely. Very peaceful! Owners couldn't have been more accommodating.
