Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025

Lovely site and helpful staff. The views are amazing. They provide a fire pit and sell you a bag of wood which really made our stay. We were able to sit out for longer and keep the chill off. Amazing value and back to basics, which is what we wanted.

Fab stay!

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025

Loud music from when I arrived (5pm) to way after quiet time. Good value for what you get. Although, if you are looking for a quiet site, look elsewhere. If you're looking to play techno music late into the night, this is your place. Text and called owners, no reply until morning, they were aware as they did a wood drop off during the day, would have appreciated an 11pm check on noise levels. Not my job to tell other campers to turn their music down, and in my experience in other sites, this does not end well, owners also believe it's not their job either it would seem. Won't be back, left early after dismal sleep.

Site's response

Hi Graeme, I'm really sorry your stay wasn't as peaceful as it should have been. I completely understand how frustrating it is when you're looking forward to a quiet night and it's disturbed by others. When I spoke with the couple earlier that evening, they mentioned an early start to me and that they'd be in bed by 9 pm, and at my check around 7 pm things were quiet They were always quiet when I was there, which was mentioned by the other couple who were almost as close to them as you. Sadly, they didn't keep to their word. I wasn't available to take calls that late at night, but I replied to your message first thing in the morning and followed up with them straight away. Most of our guests told me they hadn't been disturbed, but one other group had noticed the noise. This was definitely not typical for our campsite — we're usually a very calm and quiet place to stay, and I feel awful that this happened during your visit. I truly wish your experience had been different, and I'm sorry again that it wasn't the peaceful stay you expected.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2025

We had a brilliant stay, and was the perfect place for our kids’ first camping trip! The lady who welcomed us was lovely and super helpful, which made settling in really easy. The site is in a beautiful, peaceful spot with a relaxed vibe. It felt safe and spacious, and the kids had loads of fun running around and exploring. Facilities were clean and everything was well looked after. A fantastic first family camping experience for my boys…. we’ll definitely be back!
