Very good site, managed with good detail and friendliness. Easy walk to nearest pub and benefits from being on The Limestone Way. Clear rules and three distinct areas help to create a very relaxed environment for everyone. Fantastic breakfast options featuring local produce. Pizza offering for dinner looked great. Good sized pitches and large enough, regularly cleaned facilities. Dogs accepted.
Quiet, clean site in a central Peak District location

Quiet location with large fields to choose your space for camping though some areas were sloped the zone I was in was very quiet so I had no problem in finding a flat pitch well away from other campers. The facilities are located in a central "barn" conversion which meant a couple of minutes walk to use. These were well stocked and spotless. However, I imagine that there could be a queue if all the available camping pitches were in use. Shower was pay for use (20p per 2 minutes) but provided high pressure, hot water, so no complaints. Good location to gain access by road to many Peak District attractions and walks with the added bonus of ability to join walks from the site itself (including a pleasant stroll to a local pub around 15 minutes away).

My wife and myself and our collie dog (Blue) stayed for 7 nights at Knotlow Farm. We found Margaret and John very welcoming and extremely helpful. The location was perfect for our walks. A different walk everyday, covering around 12 to 12.5 miles each day. The site is clean and well presented. John works tirelessly to keep the grass in check, and Carl and Angelica also do their own activities to keep the campsite perfect. All this whilst running the actual farm. We found our time to be very restful and the location is tranquil. Yes you have the sound of the cows and sheep and general countryside sounds, which we loved hearing and waking up to. You can also, from time to time hear the aircraft passing high above, but where in the land do you not hear that in this day and age. It is certainly not intrusive and not something we would give a second thought to. There are 2 very good pubs/restaurants within 2 miles from the site, both walkable. The Bulls Head in Monyash and The Royal Oak in Hurdlow. Both top class establishments with fantastic meals and exceptional beers/wine, all of great value for money. The only small drawback with the site is the W/C facilities when the site is busy. The facilities struggle with the demand. Not with the cleanliness, but the quantity. We just went early morning or late night and worked around it. That said we will definitely return. A top class site with top class people running it. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

We liked the site and found the location great for what we wanted to do in the area. The pub is a 30 min walk along a lovely track between fields.

A peaceful and beautiful site. On a working farm so busy, but without interfering with the tranquillity of the site. Fantastic shower and toilet block with indoor washing up facilities and fantastically hot water. Very dog friendly which makes such a difference. Our hosts were cheerful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had pizza on the first night and it was very good indeed! Great walking directly from the site onto the Limestone Way and not far to the pub on foot. We will definitely be back.

We loved our stay at Knotlow Farm during the Easter weekend. The place is clean and well kept, you can find instructions on how to you various things everywhere which simplifies life greatly. The hot tub and BBQ are just behind the pod, everything works well. Toilets and showers are just outside the pods. Even though we made our own food or went out for dinners, you can buy breakfasts and dinners at the reception. People are nice and friendly there. In the morning, you can hear birds, sheep and cows which adds to the atmosphere. We loved the location, we drove everywhere we wanted to but there are some pubs in walkable distance.

Really enjoyed our stay in the glamping pods and the location and facilities at Knotlow Farm. The hot tub was well maintained and private. We visited Chatsworth at Christmas and this was an excellent location to stay. Would use again. Thanks Knotlow farm for accommodating us 🙂

Nice place, very relaxing, cabin was lovely and cosy. Toilets and showers were very clean. Very disappointed with the hot tub not being cleaned properly, there was a horrible layer of bubbly scum on top every time we went in. I don't think the filters had been cleaned and there was way too much chlorine as well that really hurt your eyes...very poor. Also I wouldn't have booked if I didn't know that the pizza service and breakfast service wasn't available. I wasn't told that even on the phone call I had with the lady before our visit. She basically said bring plenty of supplies, which was fine, but why advertise pizza and breakfast but don't mention you don't do it in winter? Also the coffee machine in the toilet and shower room had no cups. I felt I should get some sort of a refund for the poor hot tub and poor food service that was non existent.

Came here with my girlfriend and was a great 2 nights away. With the time of year, it was quite quiet, but very nice and staff were friendly. Quick check in and didn't need to see or hear from anyone after. Will definitely return.

Always enjoyed my stays at this site. I did not order any food from the shop this time, but I have in the past and it is fantastic. The staff are always friendly and helpful, toilets/cleaning facilities are always well maintained and clean. I would highly recommend this site if you want a small get away to a quiet site.

We loved our stay at this remote farm. The staff were all very helpful, responsive, and friendly. The bathrooms were clean, big, and well-taken care of. Lots of areas to camp. In a good location; we visited Buxton and Chatsworth House. We would definitely stay here again.

Really lovely campsite, we stayed with a group and managed to pitch next to each other away from other tents for a bit of privacy. Walk to pub only 30 minutes away and facilities on campsite were great. Pizzas were lovely and great to have them ready for collection, as well as breakfast which saved on any washing up. Bit of a walk to toilet block if you're in the furthest field like us. However, toilets and showers were very clean and never waited.

Really nice campsite, well looked after throughout. We appreciated the separation of the adult and family fields, but did wonder if there is enough toilet and wash capacity at busy times of the day. The lack of privacy in the women's toilet and sink area might be worth a rethink - perhaps a screen in front of the door? Lovely reception on arrival. The Bull at Monyash is a good pub only 10 minutes walk away.
