Peak district getaway

Ideal for a Peak District break, mid way between Buxton and Bakewell, a short drive required for some of the more popular walking trails. Check in was easy and straightforward, the pitch was fairly level and a fabulous, generous size. Fresh water tap nice and close but unusually there was no drain attached to it, we were pleasantly surprised by the shower block which was clean, heated and only lacked a hairdryer and a stool or bench in the cubicle - the 20p per shower meant it cost us an extra 80p a day to keep clean; fairly reasonable for nice hot water. They offered breakfast cobs and pizza but we didn’t take advantage of this, eating out in nearby village pubs. Heavy rain meant it was a bit muddy getting from the tent to the toilet but this is in no way the fault of the site who can’t control the June weather!

Thank you so much for an amazing stay. You were so helpful in sorting a few things out for us. The site itself is in a beautiful, rural spot; very quiet, and well spaced from other pitches; facilities were all kept clean; the breakfast menu and fire pit and log hire were a great bonus!

Very spacious! We went as a fairly big group with our friend's little one who loved it 😊 Plenty of space and close to the most stunning views of the Peaks!
This is a fantastic quiet site

I loved that I was in a field with just adults but there were children around, a good balance. There's a good use of the different fields for different people. The only downside was the walk to the facilities, but I soon got used to that, and the water tap was nearby. Thoroughly recommend.

We recently stayed at Knotlow Farm Campsite as a family of four with our young children, aged 4 and 3. The campsite's great location in the Peak District made it an ideal spot for our family getaway. Our kids loved the spacious field we stayed in. Although there wasn't a dedicated play area, the ample space allowed them to run around and play freely. A daily highlight for them was the cows and calves in the adjacent field that greeted us every morning and evening. We also enjoyed the short walk (less than a mile) to Monyash, which offered a fantastic play area for the kids and a welcoming pub for the adults. The toilet and shower facilities at the campsite were very clean, adding to our comfortable stay. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Knotlow Farm Campsite for a family-friendly experience in the Peak District.

Overall, a quiet and beautiful place to stay! The campsite was clean and easy to navigate. No problem checking in and finding a pitch. Particularly helpful to have homemade pizza onsite for the first night after putting up the tent! Having a family field meant that you could choose to stay near families or not. It was quite a long walk to the toilet block in the centre of the site, but that is the nature of a large site. Would stay here again for the proximity to loads of great walking and beautiful environment.

I have used a few campsites across the region, and this by far had the best toilets/shower block. It also had the wonderful convenience of pizza cooked on site! The location on the scenic Limestone Way was also great!

Lovely 2 night stay Friday to Sunday. Very peaceful and toilets and shower were very clean. Remember 20ps for the showers! Walking distance from 2 pubs and the pizza isn't too bad as well.

Amazing campsite, toilets, hot showers, pot washing facilities, beautiful location, loads of nice walks around the area. We did a 5 mile circular walk around the 4 local pubs. Pizza and breakfast available to order, on site shop for essentials and the best ice cream ever! Will be 100% returning in the near future.

Really good campsite. Loads of space. Would have preferred to have been in a more sheltered area due to the winds, but they must have been for electric hookups. The toilets and shower blocks were brilliant. Very clean and plenty of them. Hot water too which is so good! Pizzas were box standard pre-made pizza bases, but helpful because we couldn't really cook due to the wind. Overall would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back if we are heading that way.
