Can't beat location. Stunning views. Excellent for dog walkers. Bad points first. Improved security, making sure nobody is causing anti social behaviour in the early hours in the morning, as it is supposed to be a no noise after 11:00..pm, would be welcome. One family showed no respect to others on site, as I we were woken up middle of the night to an extremely load family, with one of them swearing, of which every other word being a swear word. Not what I expected for a site like this. Toilet block could do with better hand dryers. Would be nice if there was electric hook ups for tents too. Good points were the stunning views, the staff were very friendly. Excellent dog walking routes. Excellent location for visiting other towns. Very clean facilities. Excellent for families with children if there is no anti social behaviour.
Great weekend

This was our third year camping at Barn Farm over the Aug bank holiday. Itβs become a family camping tradition together with our friends and their kids. The children absolutely love it, a fantastic way to end the summer holidays. Brilliant facilities and so much to keep the children (and adults) entertained on site with beautiful walks and surrounding areas to explore and enjoy.

The park and staff were great. Clean and plenty of toilets and facilities, with plenty for the younger children to do. Could do with a bit more for the teens to do, but didn't spoil our stay. Even the intermittent wet weather didn't dampen our stay. We were a group of family and friends with children aged from 3 to 14. We had a great visit and would definitely go back and recommend to others. This was our second visit. Food vendors were, on the whole, good. Breakfast van were really good and great people. However, the hog roast was very disappointing as this was just a small cold pork sandwich with a bit of apple sauce on. Not what you expect from a traditional hog roast, definitely not worth Β£7 per sandwich, but this was not the park or staff's fault, that is down to the vendor. We ended up ordering extra food from the pizza van! The live music on the Saturday and Sunday were a great addition. On the whole, a great campsite and we will be booking again ππ

An excellent long weekend with 6 families with kids. This is the 3rd time we've been and gets better each time! Lots of entertainment if you want it for the kids and adults, the facilities are kept as clean and well stocked as possible for lots of people and the staff are lovely. The pork sandwich was the only thing on the list of things that can ruin a camping trip when we played a game and was likened to ghandis flip flop! All other vendors on site great and the zorbs guy was brilliant herding the kids! Went on a lovely walk up past the campsite and can highly recommend this campsite as it has everything you need for a fun weekend. We will be back for sure next year and may even do more than one trip.

2nd visit so far in 2023 and, as usual the experience couldn't be faulted (apart from the horrendous weather). The site is immaculate and Mark and the staff work tirelessly to keep it that way. If you're looking for a base while exploring the beautiful Peak District then you won't go wrong with a stay at Barn Farm.

We have been to Barn Farm a few times and we always have a fab time. The entertainment and stalls for the Bank Holiday weekend were very good. There was something for everyone. The bands and singer were great. The facilities were good - the staff worked constantly making sure everything was clean and ready to use at all times. The campsite is clean, well maintained, has friendly and helpful staff and security team and is in a beautiful location. Great location to stretch your legs and explore the gorgeous Peak District. Easy to get to Bakewell, Chatsworth, Matlock & Matlock Bath.

Such a lovely little site. Peacocks wandering around, rabbits and a beautiful walk up to the moors from the site. The site has a lovely, friendly atmosphere and plenty of facilities (shop, fridges/freezers, games room, lots of washing facilities). Second stay here this year and we will be back. Thank you!

The campsite had rabbits, peacocks and a resident bird who had made her nest in the pot wash barn. There was a small games room, vending machine and a few arcade type games as well as a basketball hoop, outdoor connect 4, snakes and ladders and dominoes. My only criticism was the pitch was on a slant, so every time someone moved in the van, all others could feel it. I know this cannot always be helped.

Excellent site, well planned for its size - I was surprised how busy the site was but we didn't have to wait once to use the toilets, showers or pot wash. Friendly and welcoming, there were plenty of staff about keeping the place clean and tidy with its play areas and little delights like the peacocks, mice in the dry stone field walls and nesting birds. Beautiful countryside setting with 2 pubs nearby and plenty of walks. We drove to Matlock Bath for the day but it would be a useful base for Chatsworth or Haddon Hall, Buxton, Matlock, Crich trams or Rowsley steam trains. We will visit again...

Would definitely recommend. It's on a perfect spot with lots to do nearby. The campsite itself is great with brilliant facilities. Can't fault it. The kids loved the play area and games room and making friends. Very good value.

We have really enjoyed our long weekend at Barn Farm, really big site. We were on a grass pitch in the touring field, it was really quiet and we have chilled out. Good walks direct from site and all showers/ toilets are clean. Shop onsite if you have forgotten anything.
