Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 It was a very nice place to stay.
Don't go Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2024 The urinal doesn't drain. Shower full of mud and hair. Water tap wastes around 5L of water with every push.
Garbage rotting away in washing up facilities. Unfriendly communication over the phone. Unknown inconsiderate individuals leave engine running and car radio blaring for 15mins at 05.00am
No directions on where to go upon arrival. Zero lighting at night.
Excellent little campsite Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Sep 2024 I love staying here. Super quiet. Everyone is friendly. Look forward to going again.
Basic but has everything you need. Quiet and lovely.
Nice facilities Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Aug 2024 I hadn’t twigged that a fishing lake would attract loads of single blokes who are up fishing late into the night. Felt a bit of a weird campsite for a young family. But facilities were great. Clean toilets and lovely washing up area.
Amazing through and through Recommends site
Trailer Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Amazingly kind and courteous people running it. Offered help, and guided through. Lovely quiet place to stay, other guests were kind and friendly. We are absolutely going back there. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Great host and location Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 A great site and location, the owner was very nice and helpful. Took my 5 year old on his first camping trip and he loved it! 100% would return.
Great little site Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Lovely small site, basic amenities. Lovely and quiet.
Peaceful Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2024 Lovely little place, quiet and out the way. Two little lakes to walk round. The owner is lovely and very helpful. We had a great night here.
Okay for a camper to stay on for one night Trailer Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Nice little campsite between Bath and Bristol.
Toilet and shower were okay and clean, but the kitchen dishwashing facility was not good, with only cold water.
Very peaceful basic site Recommends site
Trailer Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 Very peaceful, owner very helpful.
Basic site, nice and quiet.
Not for me VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches May 2024 Rural and rugged. Basically a farmer's field with no pitching identification. Clearly pitches for people working locally and not on holiday.
Soft grass difficult to get off site. Tractor tracks should have been my clue here. Refused entry onto field where facilities were by persons unknown. Spent one night there and moved on. Didn't feel like I could leave my van or awning unattended. Dogs were able to run around etc. Don't want my money back or anything. I believe the good reviews.
Not for me as solo traveller with family local.
Nice, quiet and cosy Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 The site is spacious and quiet. Owner super nice and helpful. Facilities were ok.
Great place Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches May 2024 Lovely, local place. Friendly staff.
Great location for Bristol and Bath Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 Great little set up and relaxed, easy going feeling.
Just felt the toilet and showers were a bit limited. 1x WC/ shower/ wash basin for men and I believe 2 WC/ 1x shower for ladies. Also don't forget your mosquito repellent as you're amongst lakes.
Quite clearly they are making improvements all the time!
My stay Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 Great location, easy access to both Bath and Bristol. The host was lovely and you can see the site has great possibilities.
Fantastic site! Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Mar 2024 This site is fantastic!
With a range of fields you can choose from a range a views and range of distances from the facilities. The family who own and run the site are very welcoming and helpful, and will happily tell you lots about the area and its history.
The location of the site itself provides an easy walk into a lovely town called Bitton. You can also walk to quite a few shops if you don't mind the longer trek. Otherwise, these are all in an easy drive. Bristol is also in an easily drivable distance.
The toilets and shower are kept well cleaned and the shower is lovely and refreshing. Couldn't have asked for better!
60th birthday break Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 Arrived and set up our tent. The gentleman who runs it arrived and made sure we had everything we needed. He was very friendly and helpful. Toilets and shower okay.
We had a great weekend at the campsite Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 Nice and rural campsite. We enjoyed our stay.
Balloon Festival Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Aug 2023 Pretty enough little campsite in a nice rural spot but the toilets/showers let it down. Fine if you have your own.
Perfect getaway Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 We were a little skeptical due to the price, but it turned out to be one of the best value holidays we’ve ever taken. Site manager went above and beyond to make sure we knew everything we needed to know and had everything we needed. Thanks Pete for a perfect stay!
Wet and windy July Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2023 A friendly and welcoming owner and a great location with a nicely landscaped site, making for plenty of private pitches.
It was a lovely place to spend a couple of wet and windy July nights.
Many thanks!!
Basic site Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2023 Stayed for just one night.
The positives were that this is a very basic site. No frills, no site "police", very relaxed and very quiet. It was nice to hear the local wildlife, donkeys and horses nearby. A very good sleep.
the negatives and improvements for me were that it was not the greatest first impression, with containers dotted around the site and overall unkept appearance of the site. Lack of maintenance. No hot water in women's showers (early evening). Slight smell from the toilet area.
I won't return but if you're fishing and want a stay over it's okay. This site has potential though..
Clean and peaceful place for campers Recommends site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2023 Clean, peaceful experience. Also cheap.
Thank you! Recommends site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2023 Great, easy location. The main man was a great host. Lively fire, recycled fire pit.
Fantastic Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2023 Had a short stay which will rank as one of the best. Had a very special weekend that will stay in our memories for a very long time.
My 8 year old made several friends and they chased each other with games throughout our stay.
This is a family campsite where you don't get tv's and radios blaring - just the sound of children playing or the wildlife sounds around you. Quiet hours between 10 and 7 were respected.
I learnt to fish and the owner Peter gave me some patient guidance on what to do and what not to do but I caught 10 silvers throughout the afternoon. I'll go for the carp once I have some experience behind me!
The lakes were full of wildlife which my son and I spent some time together identifying. BBQ in the evening.
The site is made up of a few smaller enclosures which was a really good set up.
The facilities are basic but as they don't offer to be anything more I thought this was fair. A WC and hot shower was good enough for us. However value for money was very high indeed.
Will definitely visit again. (Ps. 7 miles from Bath).
