Pristine campsite

This campsite is well maintained and offers everything you need as a camper. The toilet block is clean, spacious and the heat upon entry was a wonderful surprise in the cold morning. I'll definitely come back in summer to take benefit of the food and cinema on site.

From pop ups and food catering vans to the "Cow Shed Moooooovie Cinema" and egg collecting, we have something for all the family. For your information, we are currently carrying out a refurbishment project on our ladies shower and toilet block. Highly recommended for campers, tents and caravans!

Beautiful site! Didn't have time to use all the facilities as we were at Radio 2 in the park festival. Everywhere was clean and the kitchen facilities were great - fridges, freezers, microwave and a toaster! Everything you could imagine! Fishing lake and ducks were lovely to see! Great place, will be back! X

Lovely stay

A lovely stay. The campsite is large enough for atmosphere but small enough to relax and enjoy. Lovely natural kids play areas and the cinema barn was great. The staff were welcoming. Overall it was great and we would come back.

Great site

This was a great site to camp. Great facilities and very clean. Love the food vans that come in peak times. Lovely natural play area for the children in the middle of the camping field. We booked this site because we were on a fishing break. Chose the site based on the photos and information about the lake. We were very disappointed to find out we could only fish on a quarter of the lake (approx 10 pegs only). The rest of the lake was for syndicate members only. There was also a lot of fishermen 'saving' their chosen peg by placing a chair on the peg and not actually occupying it till very much later in the day. This meant the approx 10 pegs was reduced to 4 or 5 pegs, limiting us again. We accepted we paid a little extra per night to stay here due to the fishing facilities, but in reality, the facilities are limited. Camp rules were not enforced. If you have rules they should be abided by and enforced for all. Some public fishermen were fishing in syndicate areas. Saving pegs was not stopped. Charges were not applied and also we saw campers on the waters edge, not abiding by the '6 meter clear of water's edge' rule.

We are very sorry to learn of your disappointment with our fishing lake rules. We do have a year-round fishing syndicate, however, there should also be sufficient pegs available for our guests. We have a fishing bailiff and an onsite warden who do regularly walk the lake to ensure that our rules are followed, for the benefit of both the environment and the fisherman. We also actively encourage any breach of our rules to be reported at the time, so that we can then act accordingly to resolve any issues. It is always our intention to make sure that our guests are happy with their stay and we apologise for any inconvenience you may have been caused. Excellent facilities and friendly staff

I was able to choose a beautiful pitch next to the lake. The showers and kitchen facilities were excellent and close by. The check-in was easy. I was given all the information needed and advice about nearby shops. The fire pit and logs were delivered to my tent. I would definitely recommend.

Excellent, nothing too much trouble

Such a great site, plenty to keep the little ones and adults busy. The showers and toilets were really clean and everyone was really friendly on site.

Great

Had a great stay. The weather was hideous. Got our campervan stuck on the grass, the warden was amazing, with no hassle they towed us out. Campsite very kindly let us move to a hardstanding pitch as one had become available.

A great family holiday

We camped with our 2 year old and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The facilities and overall campsite are clean and well maintained. We camped in peak summer holiday season over a very busy weekend and the noise curfew was observed by everyone. Our daughter didn't experience any noise disturbances at all whilst she was asleep. Overall, Brook Meadow is a well cared for, family friendly campsite. We look forward to staying again in the future.

Charming & tranquil

We received a warm welcome. Great pitch size and the view of the lake and greenery was stunning. Lots of open green space. Ideal location to visit the battlefields of Naseby and Bosworth. Also close to Melton Mowbray and Market Harborough. Would definitely return.

Great even in the rain and wind

Despite one of the wettest and windiest weekends (where the water was moving up the camping mat and needing wellies and rain coats), the facilities / washrooms were kept spotless. The ability to rent a fire pit meant a memorable evening. Very friendly staff - booking again.

A fabulous weekend

Had a fabulous weekend at Brook Meadow. Staff really helpful, facilities were amazing. Would highly recommend this site and will definitely be going back.

Really good camping, good coffee, nice people.

Love this place

Stayed for 2 nights and will definitely be returning. Really pretty site with a lovely lake to walk round. We had a cinema night in the barn, fish and chip van 1 night then pizza van then next. Lovely chilled time.

Lovely site in rural setting

Spacious campsite in a quiet rural setting next to a lake. Dog loved it here. There are no set spots for tents, which I like as it gives a more natural camping experience. It was enjoyable to watch gliders and old planes fly over in the evening. There were a lot of children from a range of ages that had a lot of fun here and the campsite provides large open spaces for them to play. Fishing is allowed and while we did not try it, others had a good time. The site is a few minutes drive from an English Civil War battle site, the battle of Naseby.
