May bank holiday

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Site is very uneven and unfortunately due to recent weather were unable to cut the grass, but at least we were still able to stay. Lovely area for visiting local villages, but nothing really within walking distance. Nice shower with hot running water and good overnight facilities at a great price.

Comfortable site with great pub

Site nicely maintained, facilities clean, quiet and the pub was lovely with great food and service. Only deducted location pints as there are no public footpaths nearby that you don't have to walk down main roads with no pavement to access, which is a shame because otherwise great.

Simple campsite

We stayed here for 3 nights in our caravan over a bank holiday weekend. The site itself is in a great location, on the corner of junction, behind the pub. A field behind which offers electric hookups and camping field. Quite sloped in parts, and grass quite long! The shower and toilet is near the pub garden, we didn't use these. If you're wanting a basic campsite with a rural feel, this is it. Would use again but would equally try other sites too.

Thank you for your review. With the grass being long, the weather that we have had we have been only to get on and cut once. I wish I could control the weather!!

Great place for a stop over!

I stayed for one night in my camper conversion… a great site and good to have the toilet disposal and waste water points. I ate at the pub and the food was great (and reasonably priced!). I'll definitely be back!

Good stay

Lovely stay in a brilliant location! Found the field a little bit uneven in places, but overall the site provided a lovely relaxing weekend. Toilets and showers were available and always nice and clean. The pub food was excellent and the staff were very welcoming. Would definitely return!

Excellent for an overnighter

Great find, perfect for our needs. Field was to wet to drive on so we parked in pub car park. Perfectly adequate for our needs. Toilets were clean and warm. The pub offered an excellent menu at a reasonable price.

One night stay en-route to NEC

Nice rural country pub. Campsite in field behind pub. On quite a slope but some pitches fairly level and exit downhill so no concern about getting stuck! Had a delicious meal in the pub which was very reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again.

Local night away

We chose this site specifically due it's proximity to our home and the fact that it's attached to a pub, as we wanted a night out with friends in our campers. The site is very informal, with no designated pitches and it was lovely to be able to just choose where we set up. Due to the rural location of this site, it was very quiet at night, with just the odd owl hooting from time to time! Pub-wise, the food was excellent and the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend this site and pub and it definitely met our needs.

Relaxing countryside, pub on the doorstep

Brilliant staff, food was amazing and good price

We camped on the field which is a bit uneven, so choks are a must. The pub have great food and drink. Staff are so friendly and a great laugh too. Even saw the shire horse and carriage. Nothing is too much trouble for Pete, please tell me I got his name right.

Very nice pub, fine campsite

We were very happy with The Gate Hangs High as a pub, and stayed for two nights on their campsite. It's certainly OK for a short stay, but as the facilities are quite limited, I would not recommend it for a longer stay. The site is rather close to a road, so don't expect complete silence.

Nice days in the Cotswolds

Very fine location with pub, enjoyed my stay very much, and will return again.

Facilities are not up to standard

Would not recommend, I think all facilities need a serious update! Also a rubbish removal company is just behind the fence.
