Clear filters Quiet and clean
Large Tent - Electric Hardstanding/Grass Pitches (Hay Field) Jun 2024 More water points are needed throughout the site. Some electric pitches in the seaside field would be wonderful. To be amongst other tents but with electricity would be ideal.
Beautiful and clean
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding and Grass Pitches (Barley Field) Jun 2024 Excellent clean facilities. Nearby to a beautiful beach. Great for nature lovers and dog walkers. Steep steps down the to beach so would not suit buggies or where walking is challenging for the less able-bodied.

Good site but needs landscaping

Only feedback is that the site is very basic, I feel it could do with more plants in planters instead of weeds this would help it look more attractive. Or perhaps some nice trees planted as it did look a bit like a football pitch with motorhomes on tarmac …. Bit of landscaping would improve it.
Great campsite
Medium Tent - Non Electric Pitches (Seaside Field) Jun 2024 Location was lovely. Right by the beach! The facilities were clean and tidy, the showers are a lovely additions after being around the camp fire. Location outside the camp with lots to see, and shop. Definitely recommend. Had a lovely time with my partner.

Large Tent - Non Electric Pitches (Seaside Field) May 2024 Staff on site couldn't do enough to help when needed!
My partner and I, mid twenties, stayed an extra night when we realised we'd have to pack the new tent down in the rain otherwise! Reception were happy for us to charge devices there as the usual charging shed was closed, so no issues there. Car battery went flat (our fault) and 2 wardens arrived less than 5 minutes after calling to give us a jump, with a smile and a laugh.
On site fish and chip van sold a wide range of dinners for totally reasonable prices. Also, super friendly people.
2 retail parks less than 10 mins drive away, so you also have Maccies, Subway, Pizza Hut and KFC nearby! 3 min drive away from Morrisons, Aldi, Homebase, Home Bargains.
Really beautiful beach of special scientific interest sites at the end of the site, the steps aren't too bad for most! Fellow camper let us know there is also a sloped option further to the left! Everyone that stayed was friendly and happy to chat! Very dog friendly, so nice to see them pass everyday to walk down to the beach, but kept on leads so no fear of them running free.
Plenty of space on site so you never felt cramped. Facilities were always clean and cleaned regularly. Warden pops up to the back field in a small van regularly so you know that if there's any issues, you're being looked after. Easy in and out access with code so leaving and re-entering the site is easy and secure!
Would happily stay again and bring friends next time too! Thank you The Hollies! :)

Super site and service
Apr 2024 Our first trip away in our motorhome. Our battery ran flat (our fault) and they jump-started us with a big smile on their face.
First time camping

Close to the beach so perfect for the dog. I will say, there are a fair few steps to get down to the beach and back up again, but wasn't an issue for us! It is a bit out of the way in terms of shops and pubs, the closest pub is a mile and a half walk down busy roads. Morrisons is a short drive away.
The camp staff were lovely, we had an issue with our electric hook-up and the park warden fixed it in a matter of minutes. Toilet/shower blocks were modern, lovely and clean!
All in all, a fab place to stay and will definitely be returning!

Long weekend

Local shops and pub are further away than stated. The site could really do with a little shop and maybe a little pop up pub like the fish and chip stall.
Would definitely stay again.

Good clean facilities, my only minor comment would be the showers, they're nice and hot but fixed heads and a bit low flow rate. It's the style of fitting, they're like school showers.
Can't fault the staff, shown to our pitch and any questions answered.
Fish and chip van on site Wednesday to Saturday evening - good quality and quantity. About £10 for fish and chips but other stuff available too.

Great location with friendly staff
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding and Grass Pitches (Barley Field) Mar 2024 We stayed for three nights during the week at the end of March so it was very quiet and peaceful.
Access to the beach was easy for us, but some may find the steps back up a bit tricky. The toilets, showers and laundry were all very clean, however there was a problem with a blockage on our last day. There is some building work going on in the next field but this did not disturb us at all. The fish and chip van was open but we didn't use it so cannot comment.

Top site
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding and Grass Pitches (Barley Field) Mar 2024 Stayed 3 nights in early March when many sites were not open.
Services very clean but no lengthy closures for cleaning. Site staff were very friendly and helpful, and there was a regular bus into Lowestoft, and back if you can't face the 5 mile walk back.
Lovely beach for miles either side. Touring pitches were half full, so quiet and comfortable. Tent pitch field was empty and wonder what it's like in peak season.
