Motorhome service point missing.

Just to clarify, the motorhome service point in Ernie’s Field is located by the toilet block, with facilities to empty grey and black water, refill freshwater, and electricity provided to each pitch. This is shown on the map provided and is shown on signage in the camping field, but we’re sorry if it was missed during your stay. We’ll review how this information is communicated to make sure it’s as clear as possible. We hope you still enjoyed your time with us and would be happy to welcome you back in the future. Very good site

The site itself was excellent, where we were was peaceful and quiet, the toilets and showers were cleaned a few times during the day. There was a wasp problem, don't know why. The Wi-Fi service was crap even when we were the only ones on site. The pub was very good value for money they even fired up the pizza oven to serve us pizza as we couldn't get a delivery off pizzas. Yes, we would go back again. There was horses roaming around the shop, café and pub, the boating lake was good and the nature watching.

Very loud in the evening

It would have been lovely but trying to settle down on our last night was impossible due to something going on behind the trees. Very loud music playing until late, so loud couldn't hear my sound on laptop which was right in front of me. Puts me off wanting to return again as the next day, we had 3 grumpy children due to not being able to sleep.

We’re very sorry to hear that your last night was disrupted by loud music. From your description, it sounds like the noise may have been coming from outside our site, possibly from the area behind the trees. If disturbances like this come from off-site, they are unfortunately outside our control — but if the noise is excessive, we recommend reporting it to the local police via the non-emergency number. That said, if you ever experience noise on-site, please do let us know straight away. We have a no music policy after 9pm and a strict quiet policy after 11pm, and we’ll always act immediately to resolve any issues and ensure a peaceful environment for all guests. We completely understand how frustrating this must have been, especially with tired children, and we hope it won’t put you off returning. Better than I expected - thank you all at Lakeside!

I was very disappointed with the café. I had a lovely breakfast on the Monday for £11+. On the Tuesday, I had dinner and I ordered fish chips and peas and a cup of tea. I was charged £18. The fish looked impressive to other diners, but it was all batter with a little sprat of a fish inside. The chips were of a frozen kind, they were bland and tasteless. I never complained. On Wednesday, I went for breakfast but it was closed? On Thursday, I went for breakfast, at 11:33 - yes, I was three minutes late? I was refused breakfast. I said I am sorry, but I am only three minutes late. Yes, you are late the old-lady replied? I thought how very rude. I left the café, never to return and spent the rest of my holiday with my neighbours eating at a local pub! I got quality food and a friendly service. Just what people want on holiday. I would holiday with you again. But, I would avoid your café.

Tranquil place to stay

Our first time in the Brecons. What a delightful place to stay, only 2 other campervans by us in the orchard as out of school holiday season. The orchard was tranquil with excellent location and very clean facilities. The lake was beautiful with jaw dropping views. And the lady that runs the cafe is lovely! Even helped us out with a carpark for the four waterfalls walk! We will definitely stay again.

Great stay

Stayed for 6 nights. Excellent facilities, very clean. Be aware, other campsites around, so can be noisy at night but everyone still respectful and quiet by 11pm. Last night slightly spoilt by other guests pitching their van so close to me that they were on my pitch. But not the fault of campsite at all and I was leaving early the next morning so didn't ask them to move. I am a female traveller on my own so like to feel safe in my space and the pitch sizes are huge, so this was great until this last night. Great location for visiting mountains etc locally.

Lakeside stay

Fantastic facilities, spotlessly clean, really friendly staff, good food in site cafe and pub. Beautiful lake, had a lovely time kayaking and paddle boarding, can't wait to come back again.

Trip to Wales

Lovely location good sized pitches. Facilities close by with good selection of food/drinks. The staff we met were friendly, courteous and helpful.

Brilliant weekend

Great site, good facilities, helpful owners and a beautiful setting.

Will book again

We had a fantastic break and would recommend the pace and quiet this site provides. Really handy for the local pub too.

Great location and stay

Everything you need for a great campsite. The food in the pub was unexpectedly amazing. Close to Sugarloaf mountain and Pen y fan. Didn't have hand soap in the toilets at the time of our stay which is my only minor criticism.

Awesome site for the mountains

Awesome site. A great location for climbing the Brecon mountains.

Lovely little campsite

It's a lovely site, perfect little get away for two nights. Tents are well spaced out, facilities were spot on. The only downside was you could only look at the lake and not walk around it, would have been lovely to have a stroll around it. Perfect for people who loves sports on the lake.

Great group gathering (young families)

Lovely campsite for our annual get together with friends. Booked to be near the lake, but didn't utilise it as it didn't seem very appealing and not ideal for young kids to splash about. The algae scare didn't help, but the restrictions were lifted during our stay. Toilets and showers very, very clean. The camping area was amazing in clean and large pitches. Bins provided but were full, these could have been emptied or provide a few more. Some campers drove way to fast on site where young children were playing. Accident waiting to happen.

Water quality can vary through out the year, and while we’re glad the restrictions were lifted during your stay, we completely understand how the earlier algae concerns might have affected your experience, especially with young children in mind. Regarding the bins, we’re sorry they were full during your stay. Unfortunately, our waste collector missed a scheduled collection due to staff illness, which caused a temporary backlog. We’re working closely with the service provider to ensure this doesn’t happen again and appreciate your patience. On the matter of vehicle speed, we want to reassure you that a 5mph speed limit is in place across the site for everyone’s safety – particularly for children playing nearby. Happy camper!

Lovely area to camp. Field and facilities were great. Had no issues with anything. Happy to return. Value for money. Great area to walk with your dog if you like hiking.

Perfect for siblings camping for a long weekend

Nice campsite with lots of toilets and the location is lovely next to the lake. One of the showers had loads of spiders in hence the 4 star, but great for the price.

This campsite is ideal for exploring the local area. Everything you need on site. Pub, restaurant and a shop. Very clean and tidy, helpful staff.

Lakeside campsite

Great stay at Lakeside Caravan Park. Toilets and showers really clean and tidy. Recommend walking into the village to visit the cafe and The Red Lion Pub, food in both was lovely.

Fantastic

This site offers everything. Walks, water based sports, bird watching and two pubs within a 20 minute walk.

Amazing!

From the first second, the staff were very helpful and great towards us. The place was very nice and had lovely views. Thanks for all of your help.
