Motorhome - Non Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2026

I’ve rated my stay at Warwick Hall so favourably because I had such a relaxing weekend and my expectations were met in relation to the price. I am quite new to ‘plot only’ camping in my motorhome so do not have significant experiences to compare Warwick Hall with; however, I know how it feels to be let down by by a ‘weekend break’ booking and this was certainly not the case. The grounds are really pretty, with the camping plots situated past the main hotel, in front of an old stables that is quite rustic and characterful - if you’re into that sort of thing. The other side of the plots face open fields and was very quiet and peaceful. Another customer set the fire pit going one night and we all sat on the surrounding logs spinning a yarn for a while, which was lovely. The grounds were fab with a short riverside walk on site which was a bonus. The hotel takes bookings and there is outside seating by the river which I imagine would be great. If I return I’ll be booking a few hours on the tennis court too. We didn’t exhaust the local hot spots that are within a short drive of the site, instead opting to walk to local villages via roads and country paths which was perfect for our short time there. All in all it was a really good last-minute break, probably helped by the great weather we had, to be fair. The single toilet (based in the old stables and also shared by those who fish on site) is very basic but that is fine with me. A newly fitted shower in the ‘Wash Room’ is also basic but was clean and functions well. Anyone seeking luxury or glam bathroom facilities - I’d suggest staying in the hotel but that’s not what I’m looking for/expecting for £30 per night. It’s also just off the M6 so super easy to get to and great for a stop over if you’re heading further north (or the opposite way, I suppose). I’d happily go back and would probably tackle Hadrian’s Wall if I did so. I often read holiday reviews and feel that they are unfair based on the price paid. Warwick Hall was cheap as a budgie and if this is a sign of things to come whilst on my motorhome adventures, then buying one was the best decision I have ever made.

nice little oasis

Motorhome - Non Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2026

Unusual site this one, lovely setting in the grounds of the hall, believe they have only just set the small 5 pitch area up, so possibly some work to do. Facilities given a one star as although there was a toilet, it wasn't clear if it was for use by people using the campsite! A shower is provided but possibly in the process of being completed as not very nice to use currently. Major issue was no Elsan point which assumed would be a requisite for any campsite? Hence the 2* for value for money as £30/night However, we could survive as have own facilities - location rating gets 5* as grounds are lovely with riverside walk available & were very pleased with our stay & dined in the hall, expensive but top quality. Despite facilities (or lack of them) & one star rating, we would happily use again, but possibly not suitable for everyone.

Site's response

Thank you for your review, we appreciate the feedback and will review the listing to ensure it clearly states what is available and not. Unfortunately, due to the listed status of the stable block, that holds the shower and toilet facilities we are very limited in what we can install in a cost effective way. We would like to keep the campsite small and peaceful but this does mean it doesn't balance putting in luxury facilities. We appreciate this is not for everyone and hope that the beautiful, peaceful setting makes up for any downsides to staying on a listed estate. We will look into ensuring the site listing and on-site signs are as clear as possible though, so thank you.

Nice little site

Nice little site, only stayed one night but can't fault it. Pretty basic but clean toilet and nice grounds to walk around. Shame about the weather.

Peace and tranquility

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2025

Great location just 2 miles from M6 very quiet site with just a few level hard standings. No electric and facilities basic, just 1 toilet and a washing up area. A nice touch is a fire pit with logs around to sit. Breakfast available to pre order at the hall. We were visiting friends who live locally and will definitely stay again.
