Lovely stay with peacocks roaming around!
Medium Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) May 2026 This was our first time taking our 22-month-old camping and we couldn't have picked a better place! He absolutely loved seeing the peacocks wandering around, which added a magical feel. The family field had a playground he enjoyed despite occasional rain, and he also loved kicking around his football in the open space. The facilities were clean and I really appreciated the small communal fridge where we could keep my son's milk and fruit. The Nine Sisters stones from the bronze age were only a 20-min walk away, and there were 2 pubs less than a 10-min walk away too (highly recommend the pie at the Red Lion). We'll definitely be back!

Medium Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) May 2026 Great stay at this beautiful campsite. Clean, very friendly and lovely warm showers. Nice walks directly from the campsite and only a short drive to more challenging hikes.
Barn Farm is suitable for families, dog owners and is in a good location for the adventurous types.
We were a party four men (all family members) and were made to feel very welcome.

Plenty of showers, toilets and washing facilities - all clean and tidy. Would recommend for a visit to the Peak District and surrounding areas

Medium Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) May 2026 We stayed in the family field and it was lovely. Play park in the field was great. My son loved the peacocks on the farm. Good facilities- plenty of them, so never needed to queue. Friendly staff. Lovely walk to the nine ladies stone circle accessible from footpath leading off campsite. 2 good pubs within walking distance. Lovely campsite- one we will definitely come back to sometime! 😊

Fantastic find!
Trailer Tent - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2026 Excellent site, really friendly welcome on arrival and facilities were very clean and tidy. The peacocks were a little noisy, but certainly didn't spoil our stay.
We will certainly be returning soon. There was also a pub close by where we got excellent food and ale!

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Apr 2026 I visit the Peak District on regular occasions and always choose this site if staying over. Perfect location if you want quiet, extremely clean and well maintained. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Great place to stay
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2026 Great site surrounded with breathtaking views. Plenty of scenic walks on the doorstep or just a five minute stroll to the 2 pubs down the road. Great location with Matlock and Bakewell a short distance away. Staff very helpful and on hand if needed. The peacocks and alpacas were a bonus on site along with the sheep and baby lambs in sight. Would definitely recommend this place as a place to visit.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2026 Campsite was very nice,as I travel a lot during the Summer Months doing open water swimming events.This place was very quiet and peaceful.I got the rest I needed on Sunday after swimming 12 miles on Saturday.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2026 We loved our stay at Barn Farm and the village of Birchover. Fantastic location with infinite number of walks straight from the site. Staff were polite and helpful whenever called upon.
The only gripe I have is that our pitch was on a slope that even our levelling ramps couldn't cope with!

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Apr 2026 A Lovely few nights here, very local to Matlock and Bakewell, we was on field 1 which does have a slant but we was near the bottom. All facilities clean. Only con but didn’t bother us to much is the peacocks are free roaming and like to wake up early but when in country I expect to hear animals, would stay again.
