About the site

This small and peaceful adult only glamping site is set in East Yorkshire, perfect for couples looking for a relaxing stay. With just two cosy pods onsite, guests can enjoy a quiet countryside stay while still being within a ten minute drive of Hornsea's sandy beaches. Each pod sleeps two people and comes fully furnished. Bracken Pod features a double bed along with a proper table and chairs for dining indoors, while Willow Pod includes a double bed and a comfy sofa bed, perfect for relaxing in front of the TV/DVD player. Both pods also have skylights above the bed for stargazing at night. Inside, guests will find a well-equipped kitchenette with a hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle and Belfast sink, along with pots, pans and cooking essentials. Tassimo coffee machines are also included, with a few complimentary pods provided to get guests started, alongside Yorkshire tea and fruit teas. Both pods include modern ensuite bathrooms with a shower and toilet, along with cosy underfloor heating to keep you warm all year round. Bedding, towels and bath robes are all provided too. Outside, each pod has its own private outdoor space designed for relaxing evenings. Guests can unwind in wood-fired hot tubs, enjoy dining in the seating areas, or sit around the fire pit under the stars. Willow Pod also has extra outdoor seating, including rocking chairs and a pergola area with fairy lights. Please note, the pods are pet free.

Pod facilities include an ensuite featuring toilet, shower and sink, plus a kitchenette with a microwave, hob, fridge/freezer, a toaster and cooking utensils including pans, cutlery etc. A wood-fired hot tub is located outside, along with a fire pit. Wood is sold onsite.

A Costcutter and The Egg Shed Farm Shop are both within a five minute drive for picking up essentials. The Blackhorse Inn is also within a five minute drive or 40 minute walk for meals and drinks out. More options can be found in Hornsea, just under a ten minute drive from the site.

A note from the site themselves...

Homeland has been part of the Butler family since the 1950s, and welcoming guests here has been a way of life for generations. Since becoming a Caravan Club site in 1977, we've loved sharing this peaceful corner of the countryside with visitors looking for somewhere to truly relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors.

When we created the Paddock Pods, we wanted them to feel personal and meaningful to our family. The pods take their name from the small paddocks that once stood here, where our horses and ponies grazed over the years. It felt only right to name the pods after some of the much-loved ponies who called this land home.

From a young age, I shared my mother's love of horses and have such fond memories of spending time with my ponies, Willow and Bracken, in the pony paddock tucked away at the bottom of the caravan site. Today, the Paddock Pods offer a peaceful little escape where you can switch off and recharge.

We take great pride in preparing each pod to a high standard before every stay, with guest comfort, cleanliness, and care always at the forefront of what we do. We can't wait to welcome you to Homeland and share this special place with you.

Things to do on site and in the Driffield area

Just ten minutes away, Hornsea Beach is great for a relaxing day by the sea. The long promenade and wide beach are perfect for peaceful walks and swimming in the summer months. The town itself has traditional seaside charm, with independent shops, cafes and a scenic seafront to explore.

History lovers will enjoy a visit to Burton Agnes Hall, around 20 minutes from the site. The Elizabethan manor house is surrounded by gardens filled with flowers and hidden pathways. Inside, the house is packed with artwork, antiques and fascinating details, making it an enjoyable and relaxing day out.

For wildlife lovers, RSPB Bempton Cliffs is around 35 minutes away, one of the best nature spots on the Yorkshire coast. The white cliffs are home to thousands of seabirds, including puffins, gannets and guillemots during nesting season.

The popular seaside town of Bridlington is also only 20 minutes from the pods. Here you'll find sandy beaches, a busy harbour and plenty of places to eat and drink. You can enjoy a stroll along the promenade, browse the shops or simply relax by the sea with traditional fish and chips.
