Brilliant site

Smaller site, clean facilities, helpful and friendly warden. Peaceful.

Cheap and cheerful

We really enjoyed our stay at this site. The facilities are pretty basic but kept in good order, nice and clean and kept stocked. The price was brilliant to be fair, no complaints there at all. The views are fantastic and the location is ok, just outside of Langholm. But if you're wanting to go for day trips, you will have to travel a little bit. We went with a 6 year old and a 1 year old in mixed weather late August and still had a great time!

Sleep with the song of river

Great location with dark sky to watch stars and listen the river sound to have a great sleep. The location is really amazing.

Lovely accessible stopover

Good location to stay on our way through. Owners very friendly and lots of animals to see for the children. Access to forest roads/walks.

Hidden Gem!

Bush of Ewes is a lovely little campsite located just off the A7, which you think would be noisy but the pitches are located far enough away from the road that you don't really hear any traffic. It's a gorgeous little campsite with sheep, pigs, chickens and goats. There's a basic swing set for kids and a lovely enclosed patch for the dogs. The views from the site are lovely. We actually got engaged at this site, so I could be biased! It's a basic site with 2 unisex toilets and 1 unisex shower, but they were lovely and clean. The toilets smelled beautiful! Even after a fully booked evening. The owners are lovely, constantly around checking you're ok. Would definitely recommend this hidden gem!

Great site

Great site to introduce my partner and dog to camping. Very helpful staff who were always happy to help. Location was great as it remained quiet even with the road not far away. The animals were an added bonus which the kids on the site seemed to enjoy interacting with. 2 Toilets and 1 shower available which became a little busy at peak times but the site was very busy. All in all a great stay and we will definitely be back.

Beautiful

The site was amazing. Stars were awe inspiring. Full of happy campers, and the hosts went above and beyond with locations, services, help, and were constantly insightful about the area with a smile. The sights and farm/wildlife are impossible to describe.

I would visit again

Nice little site. The sheep, ducks and hens were a bonus. Lovely flat pitches. I didn't need the facilities as I was only there for one night. It's very close to the A7 which makes it easy to find, but the downside is the traffic noise which started up again about 4.30am. However, I would stay again if in the area.

A beautiful spot

A peaceful few nights sleep in a beautiful spot. Facilities were spot on and children loved how close they were sleeping with the sheep and the ducks. We will be back next year as we enjoyed ourselves here.

Very friendly, would come again

Came on a motorcycle, the fella who runs it is very friendly and happy to have a chat with you. Very helpful when needing to locate certain things on the site. They do fresh eggs in Tyler morning as well. Plenty of farm animals in the fields and hens freely roaming around up close and personal. Views were stunning as well. Would definitely come and stay again.

Great place

Lovely located rural site but not to far from the nearest town, with large pitches, toilets and shower were expectable there's also washing up facilities and an Elsan point. Our hosts Philippa and Nick were welcoming and friendly. You can walk across the sheep field to meet the pigs and goats with a short walk along the river and maybe have a dip. We would definitely return.

Lovely little site

Campsite was a real find. Really quiet and well laid out. It could have done with a couple more showers but the one it does have is fabulous. Really helpful owner allowed our mate to pitch his tent up by our camper which was really kind and helped out brilliantly.

Amazing location, amazing price

Stayed here for 1 night in our tent box and it was a perfect nights stay. Amazing views and the price was amazing as well! Would stay again and highly recommend. :)

Lovely quiet campsite. Big flat pitches, great views and delightful lambs in adjacent field. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Excellent well maintained campsite

Remote well maintained campsite with basic facilities and immediate access to hills for hiking and a river for paddling. Recommend for a single night whilst travelling North or South, or for a peaceful longer stay.

Great stay

We had a great night camping at Bush of Ewes with our 9 month old daughter. Peaceful and great sized pitch areas to have the tent and car with plenty of area left to get the fire chapping.
