Lovely campsite, would definitely recommend, 👍

Lovely stay!

Had a brilliant stay here! Had a beautiful sea view, and large spacious pitch. Services on site were brilliant, pizza night was our favourite! Would highly recommend and will definately be staying here again!

What a great site on the North Devon coast

The site was ideally located as the South West Coastal Path runs around the border - meaning you are just a few minutes away from walking along the path. There is a lovely bar that has a decent selection of alcoholic / non-alcoholic drinks, at very reasonable prices. The on-site food offering changes daily, but would recommend a Sat night stay just to sample the pizzas - home-made, low prices and so enjoyable. There are two separate toilet / shower blocks, which is fine when the site is less than half-full.

Excellent family site

The site is in a prestigious area with a fire pub/restaurant within 300m and Watermouth Bay Café within 300m in the opposite direction. On site food, bar and well stocked shop make this an easy site to stay at for camper vans and motor homes. The site is well laid out and in some areas has magnificent ocean and harbour views. Sadly the Ocean View area has no electric hook ups and the areas close by that do place you some 150 yds up a steep grassy bank from the ablutions and toilets etc. There is a slightly less demanding road route of about 200m. For those less agile a trip to the loo can be quite testing. The lower pitches in the valley are close to the amenities but put you on the main commuter route for the site. Also, the sun moves off earlier than the hill side pitches. All pitches are of generous proportions and grass, and there is an excellent children's play area within woodland by a stream.

An amazing stay

The location of this site is perfect. The owners and those that work onsite go above and beyond to ensure an amazing stay…. And it is certainly that 🙂 It’s very clean, the pitches are generous, the showers and washrooms are superb. The shop onsite is great vale for money which provide bbq’s and fire pits for a cosy night around your pitch or if you prefer the food provided onsite is very tasty, you can also treat yourself to a tipple or two from the bar they have there, again, both reasonably priced. Thank you ALL for a wonderful stay (our second visit) and we will definitely be back again 😎😎

Absolutely faultless in every aspect. The gentleman at reception and his sister were helpful and charming at all times. I can’t recommend this site enough!!

Great site, big but not overfilled, and with plenty of facilities. Owners were very helpful and friendly.

Fantastic site

So pleased with this campsite, really clean and the staff and owners were great. Facilities spot on especially with the addition of the pop up food and bar. Most importantly the kids loved it, the play area is brilliant. This was our 7th NCT friends camping trip, we will definitely return.

Great location and views

Great site with fabulous views from the top field. Fantastic facilities even had a pop up bar in high season with food available to order. If we had to nick pick, the path down to the facilities was grass and steep, so we chose to go round the longer route to avoid slipping. It did not deter from our overall experience and would definitely use again and recommend.

From start to finish, this campsite is amazing. A hidden gem. Place is spotless and facilities perfect. The position is breath-taking. See you next year. Thank you.

One of the best sites in the UK

This is an excellent site. Great facilities, food available and a short walk to the beach (note steep steps). Highly recommended and will return.

Great site

We had a great stay at Watermouth Valley camping site. Even though we didn't have the best weather, the site facilities made it really lovely. We enjoyed great meals from the onsite hut and it was also very enjoyable to use the little horse box bar on the Saturday evening. The local area was amazing and so beautiful. The site showers and loos are really clean and has everything you would need. The family who run the site are very friendly and extremely helpful. Many thanks, we will be back.

Lovely site

Lovely site with stunning views across the sea and a nearby "secret" beach that is like something from a film. Worth noting that much of the site is very exposed and if you're camping on top of the hill, the toilets are at the bottom. Lovely friendly staff, sheep and goats. Thank you!

Top field

Top field pitches need numbering. Had someone stick their tent right between mine and the next tent. Then, had the same happen 2 days later on the other side. Was a joke. No privacy or consideration. People should be told on arrival not to pitch so close. Needs a drinking tap also in field. Only found the 1 by reception, too far away.

Lovely site, clean and friendly

We loved this site, small enough to be quiet but with enough energy and buzz in it to not feel too sleepy. We had to leave early due to illness and they very kindly refunded us for a couple of nights as they were able to let out our pitch. The small bar and different foods each night was so brilliant when we didn't want to travel or cook. I've never experienced such clean bathroom facilities - wonderful! Would highly recommend and definitely will return.

Great location and staff

What stands out the most is the family feel. All staff were really friendly and helpful. Whilst there were lots of families, it still felt peaceful; the site was always quiet by 10pm. We really enjoyed the onsite catering too!

Great little spot

Stayed in our campervan for a week, was very impressed with everything, price, location, facilities and a great next door! Will definitely be back.

Definitely returning

Excellent facilities and very helpful staff. Food, drink, and shower facilities top notch, lovely site and great location. Some pitches did seem a bit boggy under the trees, but really not a problem and understandable considering the amount of rain this summer. Will certainly be returning!

Beautiful campsite, everything you need for ease of camping

Lovely campsite in a great location. Clean and well kept with good facilities, including a nightly bar and reasonable, very tasty food van if you don't fancy cooking. Would 100% recommend.

Very well organised site

Brilliant site for couples, families and solo campers. Nice relaxed vibe, well maintained, good facilities and great value food options that rotate daily. We're looking forward to returning.

Wonderful campsite!

We had a brilliant week of camping at Watermouth Valley. Super location, friendly staff and great food served on site. We were a group of families with smaller kids and took trips to Watermouth Castle (2 minute walk) and into Combe Martin for rock pooling which was around 10 minutes on the bus from right outside the campsite. There is a large pub next to the site that serves decent food and it is a 15 minute walk down to a sandy beach cove, although this does involve a lot of steps!
