Beauty in Doset
Motorhome - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric) May 2026 My wife and I and our dog stayed here for a short weekend, We booked a fully serviced pitch and arrived after 6, Debbie was still working and had everything ready for us, we had pitch number 1 and was relatively flat, the site is small but everything is in easy reach. Other members of staff were so helpful and always had a smile on their faces. If you want 5 star facilities then this is not the place for you, if you prefer a 5 star serviced and everything functional then I would highly recommend. There is a small woodland area for dog walking but it is close to the main road so if your dog does not have a good recall then I would keep them on a lead. On arrival Debbie gave us more information on Taxis etc if required but we enjoy walking and decided to walk to St Peters Finger, the walk included a long avenue of woodland where we could let the dog of and roam and it was very quiet and secluded. They do have a social hut where you can play darts or watch the FA cup final as I did and it was perfect. This sites are perfect for us and was very quiet, lots of rural walking with Deer spotting along with Horses, cows, sheep. will we go back? absolutely.

VW-Type Campervan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Apr 2026 What a fabulous campsite. The owner meet us and took us to our plot. Very friendly and helpful. The facilities were spotless, no matter the time we went in. So quiet and peaceful, the only sounds heard really were the birds. Nice little walk near by for the dog to do his business. Clear skys at night so need to take my telescope next time.
Perfect little campsite for our short break
VW-Type Campervan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Apr 2026 This campsite was perfect for our first two nights away in our camper. It’s small, quiet and friendly. Clean facilities, hot showers, and a lovely little dog walking area.
Beautiful location. Only scored it 4/5 for the location as not many off lead dog walks from the campsite.
Would highly recommend this campsite. We’ll be back.

Very peaceful and quiet site
VW-Type Campervan - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric) Nov 2025 We travelled to Poole because of my work commitments and found Huntick Retreat, after a search for campsites in or near to Poole.
It's in a lovely location, the back window of our van had a very pretty view of open fields. Our pitch (number 17) was really well-appointed with an electric hook up point and a grey water drain.
We had a really pleasant and peaceful couple of nights here, and loved hearing the owl during the night!
The only slightly negative thing I would say is the toilet block is absolutely freezing at this time of year (November). It is un-heated, the windows are open and unable to be closed. Be prepared for this, as it's a real shock to the system!
Lovely stay
Single Axle Caravan - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric) Oct 2025 Absolutely lovely site. Very peaceful and great for our four legged fur babies, has a lovely dog area attached to the site. Owners were very polite and friendly. The welcome was really nice and they walked us to our pitch for the caravan. This was very near the toilets, as requested, which was great.
The facilities are kept very clean. There's a room for washing up and a game's room with a dartboard and pool table, plenty of books for those who love reading. The location is very nice, it's far enough away to chill, but everything you could need was within a short drive. Can't wait to go back. Being adult only was delightful.

A hidden little gem in Dorset. Placed quietly out of busy area, but still very close to all you need, if you want day trips out there's plenty to offer locally.

A very pleasant place to stay, very quiet, small pitches
VW-Type Campervan - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric) Aug 2025 Being adults only (16+) and no big parties it was very quiet, everybody was tucked away indoors by 10pm even on lovely summer nights.
Road noise is far enough away to not be a problem, but some vehicles go past very fast so walking along the main road with no pavement needs care.
The downside is the pitches, which are minimum size and distance apart, and the ground was hard and stony, which was ok with extra strong tent pegs.
Long weekend
Medium Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Aug 2025 We needed a base near Bournemouth for a few nights whilst visiting friends. Ideal location for us. Found the welcome very friendly and informative.
The site was very peaceful and the toilets and showers were the best we've had whilst camping. Hygiene products available in them too.
A little honesty shop would be really be handy though for emergency bit's.
There was a little room with a tv and games and a dart board which we thought was brilliant. The setting next a cow field was glorious, to hear them mooing each morning was brilliant. We will be back.

Really lovely but need better facilities for exercising dogs
Motorhome - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric) Jul 2025 Really lovely site, lady on reception is wonderful and very welcoming. But struggled to find anywhere to exercise my dogs.
Nowhere to throw a ball about for my dogs and only a small dog walk area no suitable for letting dogs off lead burn off some energy. For this reason alone I would not revisit. I do not consider keeping dogs on leads exercise. Great site if you don't have dogs.

Location is great to get to other destinations, the walk to the village is not great due to the busy road and not a footpath, however this is out of your control.
