A note from the site themselves...

This small-holding has been in the family since 1970 and has been a wonderful place to grow up. Now we enjoy sharing it with others. The goats and fat little ponies are no longer here (free range chickens still are though) but we hope the sense of welcome and natural surroundings help our guests relax and slow down as soon as they arrive.

Lovely break in the Cotswolds

Yurt - Daisy YurtApr 2025

We had a lovely stay at Campden Yurts. It was such a relaxing break. Jane was an excellent host and she has thought of everything that you might need. There is a lovely outdoor room with books, toys and games. It was cold at night but we were perfectly warm and comfortable under the duvet and the 2 blankets on the beds. We paid a little extra for the beds to be made up with bedding and this was well worth it. We lit the wood burning stove on the first night but found we were then too hot in bed. The children had the best time running around and we especially enjoyed roasting marshmallows on the campfire. The hammocks were also lots of fun. The pizza night was fun and was cheaper than a meal in the local pub. The pizza was delicious and the children enjoyed making it themselves. Everything you would need to cook a meal at the site is provided. The bathroom was clean. The yurt is lovely and spacious and there was space for the children to play as well. The local village is lovely. Broadway is a local town which is very picturesque. There is a big park there with lots of playground equipment for the kids, also a basketball court and football pitch. We went to All Things Wild which was fantastic and would recommend. Overall, the break was great value for money and would recommend this site to anybody.

What a great find

Things to do on site and in the Chipping Campden area

Onsite you can chill-out in a hammock or relax by the campfire, gazing at the stars. Board games and creative activities are also available.

Pizza parties are popular with the site regularly firing up the pizza oven! There is a small charge for the evening and a small cost per head for the homemade dough and pizza sauce (you'll need to bring your own toppings) but it is great fun to create your own and have them cooked before your eyes.

There are many things to do when you head out, perhaps sightseeing around the picturesque towns and villages, taking to the hills to explore some of the Cotswold Way or doing a bit of casual shopping in the unique shops of Chipping Campden, less than a five minute drive away, Stow-on-the-Wold (20 minutes) and other local towns.

If culture is what you are after then Stratford-upon-Avon is a 20 minute drive away, with its famous Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre, Mary Arden's farm and Anne Hathaway's cottage. There are also a number of National Trust properties nearby including Hidcote Manor Garden (10 minutes), Snowshill Manor (15 minutes) and Hailes Abbey (25 minutes).
