Lovely quiet campsite
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 The Riverside campsite was a lovely organised place lovely walk around the river, 15 minute walk up into high Bentham, a couple of pubs. Chinese, pizza, takeaways.
The only down side was the free WIFI wasn't very reliable, the TV kept buffering with poor reception.
The shower & toilet facilities was very clean, a small gift shop & games room with arcade games in ,a lovely place for a couple of chilled nights stopover.

Great walking paths next to the river right next to our site. A lake for those who love fishing. A fantastic kids play area (shame I was too old for it 🤭).
One tiny gripe was that dogs weren't allowed inside any communal spaces, including the games room, which I would have loved to visit once or twice. Also, the toilets, sinks and showers were weirdly split up from one another. All worked well but a bit fiddly in the set up.

Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2026 Speed 10mph, your staff exceeding that. Dogs barking in the middle of the night. Children on bikes with no helmet. Otherwise, best site I've been on in 40 years.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2026 Had an enjoyable 4 night stay here. There is a nice riverside walk from the site, and also a fishing lake with plenty of wildlife to see at both. Excellent facilities are very clean and modern with the pleasant addition of 'piped' radio playing in them. Plenty of water tap points around. The site is very well kept by friendly staff, and has a relaxing feel to it. A very enjoyable stay and will definitely be back.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2026 Absolutely loved our little stay here. The site is immaculate throughout and has a little shop and arcade and great little park for the kids. It's a beautiful positioned site with lovely views and beautiful stream running through it. The staff are very welcoming and helpful nothing is too much for them. Thr high street has a few little pubs to go to though not many shops it's still a lovely little break away.

Riverside
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2026 Stunning site and extremely well kept. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Only constructive criticism is the time on the showers is a bit too short to wash a 6 year old fully including her long hair and the time to reset is excessive. The 7pm curfew for bikes seems a bit too early considering the park remains open until 9pm. Overall really enjoyed and would definitely return

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Lovely, clean and well maintained site. Location great if you like walking, with the river parallel to the site, it's an easy walk to low Bentham village.
The onsite fishing lake is a must although a little pricey, if you are a keen fisherman, there is some nice carp to be had on float and ledger tactics. Overall, a great site not too far from Manchester with great facilities. We'll be back soon.
Beautiful site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Great location, 10 minute walk into the village where there are a couple of pubs, cafes, independent shops, co-op, spar and take away. There is also 5 minutes up the hill a lovely golf course with a beautiful terrace area serving food and drinks.
The riverside campsite has immaculate grounds, we were met with lovely friendly staff who informed us that we needed a fob for the toilet and shower block which was a £10 deposit which was returned on our departure, the whole amenities block was kept very clean. We were amazed at the chemical toilet cleaning unit where you insert your cassette pay £2 and it empties, cleans and refills it, hope there will be more of those around.
There is a great kids play area and indoor games room next to the reception. The site has the river running through with lovely walks leading around and from the site as well as dog walks. There was a pizza van on the day we arrived but didn’t use so we can’t comment but seemed popular.
The pitches were well spaced out, it was lovely spot C4 listening to the river in the glorious sunshine we had. We really enjoyed our stay and our only tiny criticism would be the showers which are lovely but switch off after 5 minutes and you have to wait another 5 minutes before it starts again which was plenty of time when I didn’t wash my hair but when I did I was caught out, I understand the shower needing to switch off but perhaps reduce the time it comes back on again.
Other than that we had a really relaxing stay and would definitely recommend.

Clean and tidy and so modern and loved the music in the toilet block and when washing up. Lovely short walk into town where we had a choice of pubs and eating places. Will be returning and telling everyone that this site is one of the best
