About the site

A hidden gem set in the peace and quiet of East Anglia with excellent views over the flat fenland countryside. It's a great base for exploring Cambridgeshire and Norfolk, just a few minutes to the village of Outwell and just ten minutes away from the market town of Wisbech. This small campsite has grass tent and motorhome pitches to suit camping and touring. With only a few available, your stay will never feel too crowded. As for glamping options, these all come fully equipped to take the stress away from your East Anglian countryside break, including beds, cooking equipment, and fire pit. For something a little fancier, the Tiddywinkle Yurt sleeps two adults and two children, and is beautifully decorated with rugs, blankets, and a sofa. You even have a skylight to watch the stars as you hit the hay! The Carousel Yurt is for those with a bigger group, sleeping six with a king size bed, three single beds and an optional camp bed. There is an outside cabin kitchenette, picnic bench, fire pit, BBQ and optional electric hot tub. As for the Bumble Shepherd's Hut, this is a cosy and romantic option for two, complete with a log burner, wood fired hot tub and a private outdoor camping kitchen to cook your meals. The Dragonfly Shepherd's Hut also sleeps two and is situated down by the lake, and is a great romantic spot to watch the fish jumping and the dragonflies around the lake whilst cosied up around the fire pit. It also has its own outdoor private kitchen area. If you are searching for a cosy, yet simple, glamping stay, the Poppy Cabin could be ideal. Inside you will find a double bed for adults and a bunk bed for two children. Outside is an optional hot tub, along with cooking equipment and an outdoor fire pit and a BBQ for cooking up something tasty. There is also the option of Winne Cabin, allowing for two adults and two children. The glamping cabin comes equipped with a double bed and a wood-burning stove. Outside is a kitchen space, decking, BBQ, dining area and an optional hot tub. For a lakeside escape, Shell-E cabin could be perfect with a double bed and bunk beds. The cosy cabin comes with a small camper's kitchen and its own outdoor dining area. Shared facilities are nearby. The Old Stables glamping cabin comes complete with an optional electric hot tub, a king size bed, a day bed and a trundle sleeping two adults and two children. It has its own private cooking and dining outdoor area, and for the winter months, a log fire and TV. There is also an electric hot tub outside. Spend your time relaxing on site, playing on-site games with the kids or exploring the wonderful Norfolk countryside nearby. Don't miss the stunning sunsets over the lake. Bring your cosy blankets and snuggle up by the fire pit, toasting marshmallows and crumpets Fishing and archery must be pre booked and paid for separately, rules do apply for your and others' safety. The site is happy to assist with your enquiries. Private Yoga, Reiki, and craft classes can also be booked. All bedding is supplied, and your beds will be made up prior to your arrival. If you have added the hot tub to your stay, this will be preheated prior to your arrival. The site does not supply any towels, so please bring your own. Picnic tables and fire pits are available onsite. Forgot your firewood? Don't fret, as the onsite shop stocks all the essentials. Four-legged friends can also join you for your stay, with up to two allowed on all of the pitches and in all of the glamping units.

A note from the site themselves...

Westerby farm,Outwell originally a cabbage field for many years, started originally as a small adult only caravan site in 2008 in the front field, which now is home to various craft shops. Over the years it has evolved and with the family's passion, the site is constantly evolving, giving you something new to see when you come back.

The lake followed and what is now the glamping field, was once the paddock for Richards's late father's horses. We love nothing more than trying to achieve somewhere that you will want to return to time and again, a place to unwind and leave behind all your stresses.

Somewhere to come and spend quality time with friends and family. To chat and make new memories. We do not offer Wifi on the site but we hope that this is allows you time to switch off and do all of the these things

We are happy if you have friends that camp that want to pitch beside your glamping accommodation - it is your time to be happy and make memories.

Shepherd's Hut - Bumble Shepherd's Hut with Optional Hot Tub (Dog Friendly)May 2025

So Westerby Farm is literally a 5 minute drive from my house. I booked the Shepherds Hut with hot tub and breakfast for my besties birthday. Our whole experience was amazing. The hut and the kitchen are so cute and had absolutely everything you need. The hot tub was awesome, we couldn't fault the breakfast (delivered to us!). I'm so chuffed I've got this little gem of escapism on my doorstep. I will be returning whenever I can, to be fair I would move in on a permanent basis if they would have me!!!🤣🤣. Genuinely a perfect night away, everything you could want and more, including fairy lights😃. We made the most of the beautiful views and enjoyed a well deserved chillaxed experience - we will be back for sure!! Oh and the bed was really comfy 🥰🥰🥰
