About Waveney River Centre
Welcome to Norfolk's award-winning holiday destination, nestled in the picturesque Broads. The park is set in the beautiful surroundings of South Norfolk's Waveney Valley, with fabulous views across the Norfolk and Suffolk marshes and a wealth of onsite facilities.
Caravans and motorhomes can pick from a great range of pitches. The four electric grass Heron pitches measure 6m x 8.5m, set on a gentle slope. For a marina view, opt for the hardstanding Kingfisher pitches which are 7m x 9m with electric.
The fully serviced pitches come with electric, water and grey waste connection. These also measure 7m x 9m and allow plenty of room for an awning.
The Broads is one of Britain's magical waterways, England's largest wetland with over 125 miles of safe, scenic waterways to explore. Your stay can include a perfect blend of boating, walking and relaxing. Be sure to also enjoy a dip in the onsite swimming pool and a bite to eat at the pub.
Bring your canoes and kayaks and enjoy a relaxing paddle on the river, or you can take the ferry across to Suffolk and walk alongside the river, through Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve or into the nearby town of Oulton Broad.
The site also offers apartments and lodges.
Up to two dogs are welcome to join you on each pitch.
Site facilities include individual wet rooms, each with a shower, basin, WC, hairdryer and underfloor heating, plus a launderette. There is a heated indoor swimming pool, kid's play area, games room and a shop onsite selling the basics. You can also pay for WiFi access.
The Waveney Inn is also onsite, a riverside pub and restaurant which offers fresh and locally sourced food and shows Sky Sports. Welcoming well-behaved dogs open seven days a week from 12-8pm.
Fishing is also available. There is access from the marina to the river for use of your own canoes, kayaks and paddle boards, or you can moor your boat. There is also a ferry to Carlton Marshes nature reserve.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Kingfisher Touring PitchesApr 2024
Had a great night away. Very quiet and chilled, very small camping site. Nice swimming pool, lovely restaurant/ bar. All staff very helpful. Will be nice to go back when the weather is warmer. The park could do with upgrading with a little more for the kids to do.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Kingfisher Touring PitchesApr 2024
In spite of the weather, in which we had every season thrown at us, we had a lovely stay.
The Kingfisher pitches overlook the marina and river and are very peaceful. The facilities were spotless. It was nice to have a bathroom cubicle for showering.
We ate at the Waveney Inn for one evening and the food and service was very good. There's also a little store for supplies. The Inn is only open at this time in the season Fri - Tues. The swimming pool can be booked in 45 min slots at the reception.
The approach to the site is along a single track lane with passing places - this could be problem if people tried to arrive earlier than requested so time your arrival accordingly.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Heron Touring PitchesApr 2024
Extremely peaceful place. Toilets and showers are clean and good. Wash up area is well set up.
The pub was nice staff friendly and helpful. Only downside was the wind, with no ferries running to The Marshes. Will come again.
Site's response
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a lovely review, Gareth.
We are sorry that due to the wind, the ferry couldn't operate, however the safety of our guests and staff is of paramount importance.
We hope to welcome you back to Waveney River Centre again soon, when there is less wind of course! :)
Warm regards, WRC Team.
