We had a relaxing 2 night stay at this peaceful site where all the pitches overlooked the lake. The views were beautiful and the site was very quiet. Ideal for a relaxing getaway. The shower and toilet block were amazing and we'd have been happy to have these facilities in a hotel. Never had such luxury on a campsite before. The staff were very helpful and recommended a lovely local pub for dinner. We went to Jackson Stops Inn which is an easy walk through the woods if it's not too muddy. We will definitely be back to this site.

Wow! A wonderful location with great facilities, friendly staff and spotlessly clean. We booked 2 pitches and met up with friends from the south, we had a wonderful time. We are a Motorhome towing a car, with a large awning. There was plenty of room and you are not overlooked by other visitors. The views are terrific, we were there in February, so the birds will be even more enjoyable as the spring goes on. The island in the centre of the lake had cranes visiting. We heard from a neighbour that they saw carp jumping in the lake, we didn't see that but I'm sure it's true. The local pubs are great, we had Sunday lunch at Jackson Stops, which was excellent. There is lots to see and do locally. We will be returning 2 or 3 times a year, especially as it's adults only. Even though we were there at half term, it was quiet and peaceful. We highly recommend this site, just don't book when we want to go (joke!)

Fabulous place...it's got it all for a chill-out break. Even the ducks laughed at you.

We stayed for two nights in our campervan. We were very impressed with the site. The pitches are around two small lakes. It was very quiet apart from the occasional sound of fish jumping out of the water! The shower and toilet facilities are the best we've seen on a campsite. They are brand new and set up as separate bathrooms all beautifully done and would not be out of place in a five star hotel. I would definitely visit again.

What a lovely site this is, all the pitches are south facing and you have no caravans in front of you or behind you. Great location for Oakham, Stamford & Rutland Water. Great fishing lakes. Owners are friendly and helpful. We stayed an extra night because we were so chilled. The bathrooms are as good as you'd find in a 5* hotel. Definitely will be coming back here.
