This campsite was perfect for our stay. Each pitch has access to electricity and water and there’s a toilet and shower available. Host’s communication is clear and she’s at the end of a phone if needed. The location is great, easy walking distance into Golspie and the beach plus access to longer walks if you want them. We had an amazing time here and I’m already planning a return trip!
It was a bit noisy from the cars passing on the road and we were also not happy having to pay to use the shower.
Site's response
Thank you for your review.
We are in a great location just off the notorious NC500, (A9) in Golspie. As a main corridor trunk road, there will be some road noise but does quieten down during the night.
We are predominately a motorhome Aire, though we try and cater for everyone. We don't advertise a shower on site because as a year round site we have to close the shower during the frosty winter months and wouldn't want to disappoint prospective guests.
We decided that by installing a shower facility, it allowed us to offer more services to those who don't have their own facilities on board, eg, rooftop tents, walkers, cyclists, wild campers etc. So to keep our prices competitive, we ask for a small contribution towards the running costs of the electric shower. The shower has proven to be very popular with guests but it's a matter of choice as to whether you shower in your own van or use our clean spacious shower for £1.
