Open all year, this family run park offers a great base for outdoor lovers, ten minutes from the dark skies of Northumberland National Park. Formerly part of the Waverley Railway line, it enjoys peaceful surroundings across three acres of scenic landscape, with two duck ponds and free-roaming wildlife. Pitch up on one of the 30 flat electric hardstanding pitches with a 10 amp or 16 amp hook up, either overlooking the ponds or beside the wooded hillside, where you may spot red squirrels and local birdlife. Please note that pitch sizes vary from 6.4m-9m. You will also find a limited number of non electric grass tent camping pitches. This welcoming site caters well for those who enjoy adventure sports, relaxing riverside strolls along Liddel Water or simply spending time in a nature-filled setting. Just shy of a five minute walk, you'll find the charming village of Newcastleton, known for woodland trails, fishing, village stores and a few pubs, with easy access to the 7Stanes mountain biking route. Situated a 20 minute drive from the A7, tourers are also well placed for discovering the historic city of Carlisle, less than 40 minutes away, along with the wider Scottish Borders. Dogs are more than welcome here, with a wealth of dog walks accessed directly from the site. Come back to a handy wash station for cleaning muddy paws after a day of exploring. Raised fire pits and BBQs are permitted onsite, so you can enjoy a meal al fresco. There's even a local butcher within a short five minute walk for picking up something tasty to cook.
