Lower Micklin Touring Park is a small caravan park with only 30 pitches located just outside the village of Alton in the Staffordshire Moorlands. The site has received the Loo of the Year Platinum Award for its modern toilet facilities and the Destination Staffordshire Holiday Park of the Year. On offer are very spacious pitches and plenty of space for playing on the ball field as well as a small play area and electric wehicle charging points.
About the site
Many campers initially visit because of Lower Micklin's close proximity to Alton Towers (just two miles). However, once they visit they realise that there is so much more to the Staffordshire Moorlands that they return again and again. You'll find hardstanding pitches with 16 amp EHU to suit tents, caravans and motorhomes. There are also some tent pitches with a 5-Amp supply, suitable for charging and low energy devices etc. Pitches offer glorious views over the Weaver Hills and direct access onto the Staffordshire Way and a host of footpaths direct from the door. If you have the desire to travel a little further then the Peak District is only a 20 minute drive away.
