About the site

This friendly and unspoiled farm campsite is ideally located on the edge of Snowdonia National Park in North Wales. Offering fantastic views facing the coastline at Fairbourne (known for its two-mile sandy beach), Mawddach Estuary and Barmouth. You'll love the west coast sunsets! Situated along a natural farm track, it's backed by enclosed woodland in a slightly elevated position. Say hello to Ronald and Reggie, the alpacas who roam free near the site's farmhouse. You can see them from the campsite along with Pygmy goats and hand-reared lambs. The camping field has many separate terraces of different sizes, some with optional 16 amp electric hook ups if required. Cars can be taken to pitches to unload and then parked by the pitch or very nearby. There's also a wild camping area at the top of the campsite if you prefer. Hardstanding pitches are also available, ideal for motorhomes, tourers, and campers, with hook-ups too. All pitches have unhindered and breathtaking views of the estuary below. Two cosy pods with breathtaking views of the Estuary, Barmouth harbour and an old Victorian railway bridge. The pods are equipped with heating, lighting, TV and a picnic table outside. There is a double bed, but can sleep up to four if you bring inflatable mattresses or camp beds. Bedding is not included, but can be booked as an additional extra. Although the site is aimed towards families and couples, well-behaved groups can be catered for on request. Dogs are welcome on the pitches but cannot stay in the pods. The park also has a large static caravan and holiday cottages with lovely views of the estuary and mountains.

A note from the site themselves...

We wanted to share the most glorious views in this amazing part of Wales. We as a family have worked very hard to build our campsite, keeping it as natural as possible.

Seeing people's faces when they arrive on site and see the view of the Mawddach Estuary and Cardigan Bay is something else!

Motorhome - XXL Grass Pitches with Optional ElectricApr 2025

A lovely site perched on a hillside overlooking Barmouth. Getting the motorhome up the hillside was hairy as it was so steep and narrow to our pitch. The view over Barmouth was spectacular, this was the first time we'd put up our tent awning which was fun. There's plenty of toilets on site in 2 blocks, complete with showers. I would advise wearing flip flops in the showers as the shower isn't separated from the toilet floor. The showers were lovely and hot with good water pressure. The kitchen room had ample big sinks for all your pots but they weren't always left in a good condition by previous users. Hiring a fire pit was nice and the staff came around in the evening to see if we needed any wood or kindling. The site is very quiet and friendly, there were so many kids racing about in hoodies and pyjamas, our granddaughter loved making new friends and having the freedom to run around and play. We left the site a day early as we had seen the weather for bank holiday Monday and didn't fancy packing up in the rain and we also beat the bank holiday traffic. In all, a lovely camping spot with friendly welcoming staff. I'd also recommend a visit to Barmouth which is lovely with a fantastic beach and dunes.

brilliant site
