This stay was perfect for us, and the contact I spoke to on the phone was extremely friendly and helpful. We knew it was on the flight path for Leeds Bradford airport, so we were prepared for the noise, and didn't let it bother us. Another plus is the electric hook-up being optional (we didn't). The only stars dropped are because there really isn't enough toilet and shower facilities, and the toilet block was cold. Also, the £2 per dog per night charge, when there is nothing provided for dogs (no dog walk, dog shower, poo bins). But overall, perfect for our stay and will return. Thank you!

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay. We didn’t use the facilities as we are self sufficient but the staff were extremely helpful and I was impressed with the phone entry system for the entry barrier. We walked into Otley Friday where there was an array of Restaurants/Pubs but a 25 min uphill walk home and into Menston on Saturday which was lovely to walk around and then hopped onto a train into Ilkley which took about 10mins. Just note that The Chevin pub 300 yards from the site closed on Friday night so may not reopen.

Nice location, nice campsite, clean facilities with hot water, only gripe is the lights in the toilet/shower block is on a timer, so can go out just as you are cleaning yourself. I had booked the wrong night initially, but this was kindly amended

We have just returned from a 2 night stay in the glamping pod and we all absolutely loved every minute of it ! The glamping pods are like a tardis , from the outside they look tiny and cute but on this inside they are so spacious but every bit still as cute looking! We were a family of 4 and I thought it would be a bit of a squeeze with 2 adults and a 14 and 12 year old but this most definitely was not the case at all xx the pods are so well thought out, and have everything in them that you could possibly want. The toilet block was so clean and kept to a very high standard also. I really would go as far as to say the best pod we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in quite a few and also the cleanest toilet block also. All this and you also have the stunning views and friendly owners that make booking here so easy and are so helpful with any enquiries. This will become our new place to book a few nights to have some hidden away , uninterrupted, most enjoyable family time.

Clean pod, toilets and campsite. Lovely views. Able to use a barbecue and firepit, which was lovely. Comfortable beds. Pub 5 mins up the road. Will definitely go back.

Lovely little site, very pretty clean and well maintained. Self-service check-in as no staff on site, but not a problem as there is help a quick phone call away. Was a bit worried as it is only 4 miles from the airport, but needn't have been didn't really notice the planes, and there weren't many. Would definitely recommend.
Site's response
Thanks for the great review, we are always happy to help and I'm glad the planes did not spoil your stay.

Only spent 1 night. Very happy, good facilities, very clean. No excessive noise, occasional planes fly over but really didn't bother us. All good, thank you.

We booked this at short notice when it seemed that a lot of sites were still shut for the winter and it was a great find. Great location to explore this part of Yorkshire with Leeds, Otley and Ilkley to name a few, within easy reach. The local pub is a 5 minute walk away and we had a warm welcome there too. Will definitely visit again.

This is a great campsite. It is in a an ideal location, only one and a half miles from the lovely town of Otley. There was a fabulous little pub a 2 minute walk away. Toilets and shower area very clean and a fab little kitchen with washing up liquid and cloths provided. I would definitely use again.
Site's response
Thank you for taking the time to send us a review. We find all comments helpful and will make sure there are always cloths and washing up liquid available - its the small things that matter.

Great site - clean, tidy and well equipped. A wonderful view over Wharfedale to get up to in the morning - splendid. Booking was easy and the check-in arrangements worked very well. As well as the nearby pub, there is also a public footpath that leads down into Menston - a Sainsbury's local and the railway station await at the end. A really useful couple of facilities. Remember a torch though and sensible footware. The site listing mentions overflight from the airport; we noticed a few planes, but were not disturbed by them. Electricity arrangements seemed a little expensive at £10/day, but I'm not sure we got it right and perhaps it was possible to buy electricity at £10 a time. Something to clarify and it certainly won't stop us staying again.
Site's response
Thanks for taking the time to review the site and pointing out the great walk to Menston and access to the train station. I appreciate your comments on the cost of electricity and would like to explain further. At £25 per night per pitch including 2 people and a car we think that the cost of our pitches are really reasonable. We acknowledge that some people use more electricity than others, however when audited the average cost of electricity used per night is £10 - Modern caravans and motorhomes have blown air heating / hot water tanks and underfloor heating, on one occasion we had one motorhome that used £28 worth of electricity in 18 hours As a business we buy electricity at market value and we are not protected by price caps as households and residential consumers are. when we compare the overall price of a pitch with electricity compared to other campsites we believe we are still excellent value for money. but we will continue to monitor it and if the situation changes with the increase of solar panels on caravans we will happily reduce the cost of electricity.
Highly recommend this lovely campsite

Stayed in a glamping pod for 1 night with 4 adults and 2 dogs, plenty of space to fit us all in. The campsite itself was very clean and all facilities needed were included. The location was great with plenty of options for walks and nearby pubs. There is a stunning view of the countryside from the glamping pods. Easy check-in. Staff were polite and friendly through booking process and stay. Highly recommend this lovely campsite.
