VW-Type Campervan - Beggar's Field Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 I think the 5 star-rating says it all! We had a great couple of days.
Lynton and Lynmouth are 2 miles away and a trip on the Cliff Railway is a must!
We will be booking again.

VW-Type Campervan - Bay View Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 In terms of the quality of customer service, this is the best campsite I have ever stayed at!
Aggie and Ian couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. After a long journey, such a pleasant greeting can't be overstated. Ian took time to explain short walks and Aggie lent me a bottle opener. Nothing was too much trouble.
The site was well maintained, pitches were generous size and showers were lovely. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely short stay
VW-Type Campervan - Beggars Field Electric Grass Small Pitch up to 5m Aug 2024 Lovely campsite, good value for money! Plenty of loos and showers.
Would be nice to have a vending machine for out of hours use. Staff were very friendly and helpful!

VW-Type Campervan - Bay View Electric Grass and Gravel Pitches Jul 2024 We had Bay View Pitch 1, it was beautiful views and there was a dog walk area very near by.
A good sized pitch, the facilities were kept clean day and night, it was a well cared for site.
There were lots of friendly people too. It was sad to leave, but will be back.

Location is great - being able to walk to town is great, although we needed a taxi needed coming back up 😂 We ate at the van situated there which was okay. Facilities were brilliant 🤩

Single Axle Caravan - Beggar's Field Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2024 We've just had 3 nights here and loved it! The staff were very friendly, shower block was clean, with nice hot water, and the site overall was very clean and well maintained! We're hoping to go back towards the end of the summer and would definitely recommend this site!

Enjoyable and relaxing
Motorhome - Rabbit Field Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2024 A lovely clean and tidy site with very good facilities.
The showers were clean shower and toilets. There was a good size walking field for dogs off their lead and also an on lead dog walk available. Not far from several beaches and coves,but you do need a car to get to them.

Small Tent - Valley View Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 My partner and I enjoy hiking, and if you do too, this is the best campsite to stay in! Not many shops nearby but the reception has everything you need!

We would definitely go again, but maybe a different camping area, as we were on the Bay View area, which was on a slope 😏

Motorhome - Rabbit Field Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2024 This site is amazing! Very well kept, everywhere was clean and tidy, the dog field was huge and there were great views from lots of the pitches.
All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful, and there was a food van in the evening and fresh hot breakfast pastries available to pre order.
It's worth noting that it's a very steep decent/ascent to Lynton and Lynmouth. Unfortunately, there's no bus service, however we used Riverside Taxis to bring us back up a couple of times who provided a great service!

Camping Pod - Camping Pods with Valley Views (Dog Friendly) Jul 2024 Immaculately clean, great facilities and very friendly staff.
I stayed in a dog friendly pod and it exceeded my expectations. Clean, comfy bed, equipped with all the essentials and even has fairy lights around the bed.
Would recommend this campsite and hope to return with the family.

Single Axle Caravan - The View Large Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2024 Very well laid out and maintained site. Great views to Lynmouth. Stayed on a fully serviced pitch - no problems at all. Some of the approach roads are quite steep so make sure your clutch is in good working order.
Facilities were very clean, small shop with essentials.

Top notch - highly recommended!
Large Tent - Bay View Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 Lynmouth Holiday Retreat is an exceptional campsite. The staff are all extremely friendly, welcoming, helpful and professional and they go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. The facilities are of an excellent standard, good capacity and very clean. Scenic views of sea and/or wooded valleys from the pitches. Lynmouth and Lynton are lovely villages and can both be reached via pleasant off-road woodland walks.
The staff recommended lots of things to do locally, some highlights included visiting Valley of Rocks just outside Lynton and dinner at the 14th century Rising Sun in Lynmouth. We will return to the site before too long I'm sure!

What a beautiful location and we couldn't fault the site at all. Tranquillity, spotlessly clean, lovely little shop, incredible walks and views. We couldn't have wished for better and can't wait to book again and bring our family and small grandbabies too. Thank you for a truly memorable holiday.

Best campsite ever
VW-Type Campervan - Bay View Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 This was a great campsite.
The pitches were large and having a patio table was a bonus. The views were great. Fantastic dog walking and an enclosed field for a run but plenty of lovely walks. Dog shower was a nice addition.
The food van was amazing lush food. We had a Tex-Mex and were not disappointed. You can order from a bakery in reception for next morning. The showers, toilets and all facilities were spotless, 5 stars from us. Dishwasher too and you could hire power banks. This site really has it all. Very tranquil at night. The area itself has a lot to offer, Lynton and Lynmouth within walking distance.
We definitely will be returning for a week this year. What a lovely find.

Absolutely beautiful site
Single Axle Caravan - Beggar's Field Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2024 This is without a doubt a hidden treasure of a site.
From the breath-taking views, to the cleanliness and fabulous maintenance of the site. The staff are amazing. From the moment you get there, you're met with a warm welcome. At reception, you can order freshly baked bread and pastries for the morning. On site itself, there's a good wagon that's open on Thursday to Saturday and on a Tuesday the pizza van comes round. All food is amazing and to a high quality.
The facilities are spotless and they even have a separate shower and toilet for people with disabilities, you will need a radar key for this, but it's a great idea to prevent everyone using it. They also have 2 family shower rooms which is a great idea for parents with young children.
The site itself is situated in an ideal location for several seaside places. There's a foot trail to Lynmouth if you enjoy a walk. It's peaceful and tranquil and can't wait to return next year.
