Glamp and Tipple is a small and exclusive yurt glamping site set on Norfolk farmland on Watton Road. With private heated bathrooms, hot tubs and much more, you can expect nothing short of luxury. Book in for workshops, private beauty treatments, personal training/yoga sessions, cinema nights and hampers. About the site

This small and exclusive yurt glamping site is set on a beautiful working farm in the Norfolk countryside, with luxury stays very much the name of the game. Think heated bathrooms, covered wood-fired hot tubs and plenty of extras to make your stay feel that bit more special. There are five luxury heated yurts, each with its own individual theme and colour scheme, so no two are quite the same. Every yurt comes with a private covered wood-fired hot tub, complete with jets and lights, as well as a private heated bathroom and fully equipped kitchen with a double gas hob, fridge/freezer, utensils, crockery and everything else you need for a comfortable stay. Outside, each yurt also has its own Kadai fire pit and BBQ. The site is part of the beautiful and bustling Rookery Farm in Great Ellingham. The farm is accessed via Watton Road, which services the farm and other traffic at various times throughoutu the day. Due to the location, guests should expect a certain amount of activitiy around the site, which can generate some noise, but hopefully won't get in the way of your stay. And then there are the extras! From having your own yurt decorated for a special occasion to candle-making workshops, cocktail making masterclasses, silent discos, private beauty treatments, yoga sessions and cinema nights, there are plenty of ways to make your stay your own. You can even arrange delicious extras, including afternoon teas, three course meals and gourmet hampers, so there's no shortage of reasons to stay put and indulge. Dogs are welcome.

Guests staying in the yurts have access to private posh bathrooms, hot showers and private kitchen areas with a washing up area, private BBQ/pizza oven and fire pit. There is an on site honesty shop where you can pick up delicious local produce as well as a farm shop with fresh meat, fruit and veg.

The site provides a children's play area, table tennis/table football, dartboard, giant outdoor games, a snug/games room and badminton/volleyball net as well as a whole host of onsite activities.

There are many food packages you can book onsite from afternoon teas and graze platters to full three course meals. Alternatively, a number of bars and restaurants can be found within a few miles of the site with The Crown in Great Ellingham being a mile walk up the road.

Overall, had a great time, the shop has everything you need and is open 24/7. The yurt was decorated nicely and was very warm once the fire got going (we stayed on a wet day in Feb). A little cold in the morning but what else would you expect and soon warmed up once we put the fire back on. Be aware with the hot tub as we accidentally overheated it and it was too hot for an hour or so, but eventually cooled down and was lovely and easy to maintain. Plenty of bedding and robes supplied. If you don't plan on cooking yourself, only Dominos and one other Indian deliver, although there are two nice pubs within a 5 minute drive. Would definitely want to return in summer.

This is a very well thought out site that gives privacy. Our yurt (Bollinger) was very well equipped and cosy. My only criticism is that the decking area around the yurt, hot tub and kitchen areas are very slippery and dangerous when wet. I suffered a bad fall. I was not being irresponsible nor was I under the influence of drink. The decking was wet and my right foot just slipped, bank a heap on the floor. I would like to see the smooth decking replaced by a highly non slip form of flooring. Apart from my bad fall, our glamping experience was terrific.

Many thanks for your very lovely review, we are very happy to hear you felt that the site itself was impressive and that overall you enjoyed your stay. We were very distressed to hear that you had a fall while staying with us. Believe it or not it's the first time anyone has had a bad fall at our site before! Obviously, we take the safety of all our guest extremely seriously, and we do have lots of warning signs up around the site regarding the decking and taking extra care when walking around, if the weather has been wet. We do provide anti slip mats in the kitchen area, by the hot tub and at the front door of yurts. Unfortunately, at this time of year when all the leaves are falling it can cause the decking to be a little slippery and we do our very best to ensure guests are aware of this. It's hard being a rural glamping site and battling against the constantly changing weather, but we always try our best. Shortly, after your stay we did ask a company to come in and advise us if there is any solution which was affordable (as you can imagine we have a huge amount of wood on site and we are only a small family business) and we are waiting to see what options there are which will help long term. In the meantime we have paid a company to pressure wash all the decking areas to try and remove any excess dirt/leaves which may have been contributing to the issue and it seems to be a lot better. I hope this helps to reassure you and others reading, that we care very much about our guests and are actively trying to remedy any issues for future guests.

What time is check-in and check out at Glamp and Tipple?

In person check-in is available from 3pm - 4pm, after this time remote check in is available. Departure is before 10am on your last day, unless you have arranged and paid for a late check-out at 11am.

Is Glamp and Tipple dog-friendly?

Yes up to two dogs are welcome for an extra charge. Please do keep dogs on the lead and not leave them unattended. It is also worth noting that dogs are not permitted in the onsite pond to protect the local wildlife.

Breeds and crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act are not permitted.

Does Glamp and Tipple allow BBQs and campfires?

Yes, BBQs and open fires in fire pits are permitted as long as they are raised off the ground.

Does Glamp and Tipple allow group bookings?

Yes, small groups are welcome as the larger of the Luxury Insulated Yurt sleeps up to six people.
