Just 15 minutes from Weymouth, Buckland Campsite is a peaceful, family-run site catering for tents, trailer tents and campervans. The site offers both electric and non electric grass pitches, along with cosy bell tents with private facilities for those who prefer glamping. Within a 15 minute drive of the site, you will find sandy beaches, such as Bowleaze Cove, along with the Dorset AONB, a great place for outdoor lovers and families to unwind.

First time camping at just a campsite - we usually camp at Haven. We had a lovely warm welcome from the couple who run the site, they were so friendly and lovely with the children and their dog was very friendly too. The facilities were clean and well equipped, we couldn't have asked for a nicer site to stay at. The views were beautiful too, especially the sunset. The only one thing I found as a negative was the light that stayed on all night right near our pitch, it was too bright, brilliant for being able to see around the site but not for sleeping, unfortunately.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2024

We were not using this as a leisure break as we were only wanting somewhere to stay for the night after a gig we were playing with at Weymouth Pavilion. But, hey, the place was a great place to stay and there were lots of families obviously enjoying the first real camp of the season. Staff were great and accommodated our late return after the gig.

Perfect for a bit of peace and quiet. Driving distance to Weymouth and Durdle Door, but out the way enough to enjoy the English countryside. The toilet and shower facilities were the best I've seen on a campsite and were cleaned/serviced regularly. The staff were super friendly.
