You could choose to venture into the city for daytime adventures and then retreat to your serene oasis at The Bus Stop away from the hustle and bustle. Our eco buses are a thrilling alternative to traditional camping, allowing you to bask in the beauty of the outdoors without the hassle of pitches and poles! Accommodating two, four, or six guests, each eco bus comes with a cozy wood-burning stove, a fire pit/BBQ for your grill nights, and even a private hot tub. This is the kind of holiday experience that lingers in your memory long after you've left. Just imagine the joy of spending the night in a magical bus! Your glamping experience will be enhanced with comfortable beds and inviting sofas. Kids (and the young at heart) will be irresistibly attracted to the driver's seat, ready to embark on a fantastical journey. With no electricity in the eco buses, the gentle glow of lanterns will illuminate your nights, while private eco loos conveniently nearby maintaining the back-to-nature charm. If you crave a bit of glamour, opt for one of our three luxury buses, which can host two, four, or six guests. Each handcrafted interior boasts a king-size bed and bunk beds for any extra companions (with bedding and towels provided). Your luxurious retreat also includes a full kitchen equipped with a hob, oven, kettle, toaster, and a fridge/freezer. Stay warm and cozy with the log burning stove and enjoy a fabulous ensuite featuring a rainfall shower head, plush dressing gowns, and luxurious toiletries that give you that pampered hotel feel. Plus, enjoy complimentary WiFi in your luxury bus! Step outside your elegant glamping haven to a spacious private lawn complete with seating, your own wood-fired hot tub, and a dedicated area for that essential campfire under the twinkling stars. Don't worry about leaving your furry friends behind; dogs are welcome, with up to two allowed in each bus.

The Eco Buses are open from March 27th until October 20th, and the Luxury Glamping Buses are open all year. Stay from £120/night for 2 people (2-night minimum).

Fantastic stay at The Bus Stop

We booked our stay after watching Scotland’s Greatest Escapes series 2 where The Bus Stop came top of the budget friendly category and runners up overall. We booked the double decker Luxury bus no.3 for 4 x adults and were absolutely delighted. While the attraction for us was the unique & quirky experience, it certainly did not lack in both comfort & style. The ingenuity of the design is amazing with brilliant proportions in all spaces. The finishing is top notch, giving a hotel experience. The privacy of the garden & hot tub with outstanding views of the Lammermuir hills was the cherry on top, watching the deer in the fading afternoon sunlight. We also booked tea & scones with the Pygmy goats as an added extra - what a brilliant experience. Kelly was so welcoming and looked after us so well. The goats were so friendly and were definitely a highlight of our trip. We took the opportunity to investigate the local area during our stay driving 30 mins to Dunbar, visiting the beautiful harbour & town…visiting Drift cafe at Bass Rock for views and The Old Post Office cafe in Tyninghame for lunch. Definitely recommend a visit to this beautiful part of the world & a stay at The Bus Stop at Bankrugg Farm is an absolute must…. good value for money, lovely people, beautiful location & 10/10 accommodation…what’s not to like???

Glamping - Eco Buses (Two Person)Aug 2025

What a great find! Stayed in Ecobus 1 for 2 nights - was comfy, clean, quirky and very relaxing. Hot tub was fab, sitting looking at the views with a few cocktails 🍸 was just fantastic. Well organised, good self catering facilities etc. Stayed in August, so high season, but it was sooo quiet and peaceful, with the bus feeling like no-one else could overlook you - a great place, would recommend it!
