Wowo Campsite offers a relaxing, family friendly stay in the heart of Sussex, a ten minute walk from the Bluebell Railway. There are a range of camping areas with fire pits, and groups of families are welcome. For a little glamping luxury, there are a great range of furnished Lotus Belle tents, shepherd's huts, yurts, geodomes and wagons. Workshops, entertainment and food trucks are hosted in summer, with a farm shop and wild spa all year round.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesJul 2025

I spent a lovely couple of nights here. The set up of the pitches was perfect and although I didn't light a fire it was lovely to have the option. I had some lovely wanders with my dog around the campsite and everyone looked to be having a similarly peaceful time with their families in a very safe environment

Wonderful campsite full of extra lovely thoughtfulness

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJul 2025

Great staff who were friendly informative and helpful. Campsite has clearly been really thought out. Each pitch has fire pit with wooden seating bench and cooking plate. The wood for campfires is reasonably priced with 'borrow me' wheelbarrows to transport wood from shelter to your pitch. The shop is well stocked with everything you need (even fresh pastries) products such as eggs, bacon, chutney's are local and delicious - the smoked bacon pack is a must buy as best tasting bacon ever! The campsite has some brilliant touches that really make a difference such as tree swings for kids and designated large playfield for when kids want to play football, cricket or rounders, so plenty of room. It has about 4 different camping fields, each with toilets, showers, washing up sinks and water taps close by. One field has a huge marquee (they call the village) with wooden shelters where a very talented children's entertainer performed for toddlers and then changed up later, suitable for all. singing and playing guitar pop songs. Campsite has bank of phone charger lockers available to rent - very reasonable price and has free communal use fridge and freezers available in reception. Campsite has food truck coming everyday serving breakfast for those who need break from cooking - must admit didn't try but nice for those who want it. Some nights also returns to do dinners to. Campsite offers other things we didn't try such as children's fairy classes, adult spa, herbal medicine class - look at extensive what's on board outside reception when arriving. Negatives - the shower block we used near reception had signs of mould in the shower sealant and a light kept flickering plus not always the cleanest - but it is a campsite that keeps the shower floor broom available for anyone to have a quick sweep when at times, it can be a bit muddy (people on grass field - so unavoidable) but in my opinion, should be kept cleaner by staff and mould on show at start of summer season should have been sorted in off peak. Pizza can be delivered to campsite by local company - leaflet in reception, very nice too.

Lovely canpsite

Roof Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2025

Overall a nice site, shower blocks and toilets could do with being cleaned more often! Nice walk through the woods to the sloop could do with more sign posts as got lost on the way back to camp 🏕

Perfect for a railway visit

Yurt - Family YurtsOct 2024

We stayed in the Little Owl Yurt while we visited the Bluebell Railway for a gala. The yurt was lovely, the location ideal (a short walk to Sheffield park station) the shop was good and the staff couldn't be more helpful. The only thing I think could improve is the information about supplied items such as drinking water, and the availability of fridges in the main building, to be honest I could have emailed and asked!

Fun and relaxed campsite, ideal for families

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

Lovely campsite with lots of facilities to make the stay easier, including a shop, showers and toilets, washing up station and food vans. Family friendly but plenty of space between pitches to allow for privacy too, flat pitches, fire pits and available wood made for a great camping experience without being too isolated either. Tree swings and entertainment tent was great for kids too. Friendly helpful staff and organised site made for a great experience.
