Couple of comments below.
Gave standard of service a 3. Would have given a 3.5 but not possible. Ice blocks didn't freeze, other campers were mentioning this. I did report it. Internet access was not possible where I was camping (Ocean View). To access the internet, you had to go to the main area but even that was spasmodic. Proprietor did offer to connect me to their business internet which I declined. For me, it was quite good to have an online holiday .
Suggestions - I'm vegan, but no vegan options on the printed menus (did see it offered on a poster near reception but it was too late when I saw it).
Dog exercise area - I love dogs but sadly l lost mine very recently. Last night, I was quite shocked to see quite a few dogless gatherings in the dog exercise area. It was a beautiful day and that area has a beautiful sea view, which I'm assuming was the attraction. Had I been lucky enough to bring a dog, I would have been reluctant to take them in there It wouldn't have felt appropriate or safe for an exuberant dog to be running around among the groups that had gathered. My suggestion is that that area is reserved for exercising dogs.
Superb from start to finish

Site has fantastic views and top rate facilities. Friendly staff and a very clean site, the best I've been to in a long time.
Wi-Fi isn't great but not an issue as camping is an escape from the norm of every day life and wasn't bothered about not being able to check email, although did hear a lot of people moaning about it but seriously, get a life, you don't need the internet in a location like Watermouth Valley, enjoy the beautiful views you're blessed with them, not your phone or tablet screens.
The onsite food hut offered great choice for a meal if you don't fancy cooking or there's The Sawmills pub a short walk away, along with the bar on the site with a good selection of drinks given its size (a converted horse box).
For me, Watermouth Valley ticked every box and would not hesitate to return to the site in the future. Great holiday and great experience at Watermouth Valley - 10/10.

Large Tent - Ocean View Non Electric Grass Pitches (Open Plan) Aug 2026 The staff in comparison to other campsites were very attentive. We very much enjoyed our stay. We also enjoyed the nightime entertainment which was a bonus with a variety of food available (daily) from their evening food cabin.

Large Tent - Valley Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 A great site with friendly staff. The on-site shop is well stocked at reasonable prices, and the facilities are well maintained throughout the day. There is a huge dog walking field, where the dogs can run off steam; it is also a great view morning/night of the sun over the horizon.
The on-site catering service is to die for! The food is absolutely stunning and at such a reasonable price. Highly recommend the Sunday dinner :)
The site location is within easy driving distance to a variety of activities; these are just a few that we did and highly recommend: Keypitts Quads, North Devon Aqua Park, Watermouth Castle and Tarr Steps
The only downside of the camping park is the pitches; ours was a corner pitch which was great. However, the pitch was well used, with dips in all directions and tapered off to a hill. We did, however, make it work. Although this did make for a slight damper on the holiday for my disabled partner, a Blue Badge holder (advised when booking), due to the location of the pitch and the steep hill to get to/from the toilets.
A holiday is what you make it at the end of the day, and overall, this was a great holiday park.

Another enjoyable stay
Single Axle Caravan - Valley Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 We had a fantastic stay at Watermouth and came away with a really positive impression. It’s a lovely, well-run site in a brilliant location and somewhere we’d happily return to.
The staff were excellent throughout — genuinely friendly, welcoming and always helpful. The facilities were consistently spotless and clearly very well looked after.
The food was another highlight. Everything we had was delicious, with a great choice and particularly good provision for different dietary requirements, which made eating on site really easy.
The location is superb, with Watermouth Castle right on the doorstep and plenty to explore along the North Devon coast. Having the Sawmills pub at the end of the road is also a real bonus for an easy meal or a few drinks.
Only a couple of minor niggles: some vehicles came down from the sea-view pitches a little too quickly, which isn’t ideal with children around, and there was some noise from the nearby wedding venue on a handful of evenings. Neither detracted much from our stay.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Watermouth. Great staff, immaculate facilities, excellent food and a fantastic location. We’d definitely recommend it and would happily come back.

Quiet in the evenings which is lovely! Amazing scenic location, ideal if you enjoy a costal path walk!

Single Axle Caravan - Valley Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 First time staying here, what a beautiful place.
It's is got a chilled out vibe. The food was lovely and different every night. The pitches are really large and I have to mention, the staff always got time for a chat and very friendly. Only one little problem but not the site's fault - if you are in a caravan, be careful on the roads as they can get narrow in places but take your time and all will be fine.
Definitely will be returning.

Loved the horse trailer bar and the food was fantastic and all good value. Nothing was too much trouble and still went out of their way to come over and chat. Large pitch and overall excellent value for money.

Medium Tent - Valley Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 Site is in a beautiful spot, ocean view is amazing.
Shame you can't get to that beach due to land slides but the surrounding beaches are just as nice.
The site was clean and the pitches are huge. As a solo camper, I felt very safe on site, the food truck was lovely, minus the Sunday roast - I personally didn't like it. Onsite bar as well 👍👍👍
100% will be booking again.

Medium Tent - Ocean View Non Electric Grass Pitches (Open Plan) Jul 2026 My boyfriend and I wanted to go out for a simple camping trip, we had no idea that this site would be so phenomenal! As you first go in it is absolutely beautiful from the planting and buildings to the way you are treated by staff. We were in the open plan field (which we chose for affordability) but were completely blown away by the incredible view and facilities. When we were about to leave my car battery was dead and within minutes they sent someone up, jumped the car with a big smile and we were off again. We had the most amazing time, thank you so much! x
