Lovely mature site in a peaceful location

This mature site with well established tall hedges between the caravan pitches, lovely for added privacy. The pitches are large and the hardstanding is plenty big enough for a caravan, awning and car. We loved the dog walk and the convenient local pub, as well as the on-site Thai takeaway (when they say spicy they mean spicy!) - lovely authentic tasting food. The bathroom block was lovely and clean and the on-site shop really convenient for essentials, with friendly and helpful staff. Loved our stay and we will definitely be back again.

Can't rate this little gem of a site enough. Fantastic, very well kept little place with really smart, lovely facilities. Respectful quiet times, unlike other recent sites I've been to, and beautiful walks at bottom of the grass pitch. Site behind nice, simple little park for little ones, fishing lakes to the right and a village walk to the left. Gorgeous scenery on walks, if you appreciate the countryside, and the staff were honestly friendly. I've been to many sites over the years but I really took to Hill Cottage Farm as it's got a lovely, peaceful vibe to the place. I will 110% be returning as much as I can in the future :-)

Lovely campsite, the cleanest one I've stayed in by far. The toilets and showers were cleaner than most swimming pool changing rooms, which I was very impressed with, considering it was quite wet and muddy weather. I stayed on my own but felt very safe, I liked the number plate recognition barriers for added security and the staff were very easy to get hold of when I needed to ask questions. The dog walk was lovely, a nice way to stretch the legs in the morning and say 'hi' to the horses. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.

This is a beautiful place. Surrounded by lovely countryside. The walk through the woods to the local pub and shops was great! Very peaceful and quiet. Lovely takeaway on site. Local taxi service to another pub was handy. Having a separate car would have been better for us as we came in our motorhome, but we did enjoy the rest. Very clean toilets showers and facilities - the site is excellently maintained. Would highly recommend.

We loved everything about this campsite. The location, the layout, the trees and bushes between the pitches, making it not seem just like a caravan parking lot. All the staff seemed very chilled and I've never been to a campsite that was so peaceful. Hearing owls all evening and a huge sky full of stars made it feel very special.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend away at Hill Cottage. The campsite is one of the best we've been to and we will certainly be returning next year for another stay. We stayed on a fully serviced pitch and we found them very spacious and very well kept.

We love staying here and come back to it a couple of times a year. The pitches are large, well laid out and most are flat. The facilities are clean and have always been in good working order. The Thai takeaway on site does great food too. This time we stayed on a hard standing with grass pitch. Unfortunately we couldn't get our pegs into the ground as it was just too hard. Even our hard ground pegs weren't able to get through the hardcore so we had no choice but to set up our awning on the grass, which is not allowed. We didn't put the floor down to try to limit any damage to the grass. Only adding this to the review so if any other campervan users book a grass only pitch and don't get caught out like we did. We felt so bad. That being said, when the site team walked around the next day nobody asked us to move it so we relaxed and guessed they didn't mind. A great place, would recommend a stay here. Great walks from the site. Blashford lakes just 10 minutes away (drive) and close to lots of great places to visit.

We had a lovely stay at Hill farm Cottage, staying in the Shepherd's Hut. Campsite was beautiful with very green lawns and the hut itself was perfect, super clean and had everything we needed. Showers and toilets were always immaculate and really enjoyed the walk through the woods to the pub. I'd definitely recommend this place and am very keen to return!

We had a lovely stay at this campsite. The facilities are very good and everything was kept nice and clean. The downside was that on very hot days there was no shade on our pitch, which made it too hot to spend time onsite. Our 3 year old loved the play park.

Nice location, and very spacious pitches. Was on a fully serviced and was enclosed so really quiet and peaceful. Shower block was OK, clean but can't change temp of the water.

A lovely site, beautifully landscaped in a great location, and a really nice circular walk for our doggies past the lakes. We didn't have time to explore the walk to the local village and pub...but will certainly do that on our next visit. Very happy with our visit.

Lovely campsite. Showers and toilets very clean and modern, lots of waste disposal points and a lovely walk for the dog from site. Only 15 min walk into the village, which was great as didn't need to use the car at all. We were lucky to be in sight of the playpark so could keep an eye on the kids. It's a small site but very well looked after and friendly staff too.

My husband and I stayed here with our daughters (aged 10). It's the first time we have used our Caravan as a holiday away. The campsite was just wonderful, so much room to park our caravan with ease, easy hook ups and water access. Toilet and shower facilities are very clean and tidy. The campsite itself was very clean and tidy. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We shall be looking at coming back again next year. Thank you Hill Cottage for making our mini break a fabulous one 😊

The campsite is lovely with an easy online check in service. The bathroom and shower facilities are clean and well serviced. The children's play park is a great central meeting point for the kids to make friends. The shop is well stocked and the on-site Thai takeaway is really great. Our best night was a walk through the woods to the local pub and back, on the way back the children loved walking with the torches - a real adventure!

Clean and quiet. Small and well run. No issues at all, though shop is very limited in what you can get.

Thank you for your review, Daniel. In the shop, we aim to sell the essentials plus ice creams, sweets, and things you may have forgotten to bring. The co-op in the village sells much more, it has free parking and is 15-20 minutes walk from the site. Hope to see you again next year.

First time staying. Went with family and three young children. What a beautiful kept site and very peaceful. The kids had a blast in the park and on their bikes. We were in a caravan on the 16amp hard standing. The pitch was huge and quiet.

Great site but disturbed by noisy people

On the whole, this was a lovely site, with adequate but clean facilities and a great location. Our only criticism stems from inconsiderate noisy campers, some who talked loudly late into the night making it difficult to get to sleep, and others who woke us up with their non-stop chatter at 5:40am on the Sunday. We were not impressed and would like noise policies to be better defined.

We have a warden making patrols until midnight and if we are made aware of a particularly noisy pitch, we will make extra checks and ask them to be more considerate.

Great campsite, would recommend and stay again. The best showers of any campsite I've stayed on. Site is kept clean tidy and well maintained, generous sized pitches, 3* location only because you need to drive everywhere. Only downside and not the camps fault, is other campers allowing their children to run through people's pitches at all times, when there is a playground and large field for them to use.
