Whether you're exploring the Dales or the Lakes, Little Acre Camping is ideal - only a 15 minute drive from both. Relax in the tent here and take the pooch for a stroll by the peaceful Lancaster Canal (just adjacent to site) or hop on a convenient bus to Kendal or Kirkby Lonsdale (both 15 minutes away). Just across the road, about a five minute walk away is the popular dog friendly Crooklands Hotel, with a bar and very good food served all day.

Very homely campsite and very welcoming. Spotless facilities. Very well maintained and organised. A little bit noisy from traffic in the tent field but otherwise very relaxing.

Hi Margaret. Thank you for recommending us to others on Campsites.co.uk. The tent field is the closest to the road and IIRC, there was a lot of tractors doing haytiming during your stay. Fingers crossed that you next visit is quieter. Paul

Was our first camping holiday with our dogs. Very warm and welcoming hoist. Spacious tent pitches. Ideal location for dogs. The toilets for the camping side would be much better if they were the same size as the caravan ones but other than that everything is spot on. Highly recommend and will be returning!

Hi Jodie. I'm glad that your first trip camping was so successful and that you're coming back to stay with us again. In the last few weeks, we've had planning permission approved and this Winter we are adding a new and much larger shower and loo facility, with extra wash basins, extra washup sinks, laundry facilities and underfloor heating - which will be larger than the facilities on the caravan "side" !
