Such a beautiful setting, so calm and chilled.

Lovely site

Lovely peaceful site to stay. Facilities perfect and clean. Great for our dogs, they loved the forest walks, as did we! Nearly got lost in there and a tree nearly fell on us in those strong winds!! We survived to say thank you and a big thanks for the tea bags!

Peaceful, clean and good facilities

An absolute gem of a campsite/ caravan park. Very quiet, lovely clean loos and showers. My only observation and I think this needs to be highlighted, is that the ground is very sandy and soft, so normal tent pegs struggle to stay in, especially in the wind. If you use this site I would recommend screw-in pegs.

Fantastic site, highly recommended!

Spent 2 nights here with my son. Clean, generous plot size and very peaceful. The park itself is absolutely lovely and peaceful and run by a very friendly and helpful family, there are plenty of facilities and these were always spotless! There are plenty of beautiful hiking trails within walking distance of the park and loads more within a short drive. Highly recommended and we will definitely be staying again.

Great weekend

We were in the non electric tent and small campers field. Everyone spaced out nicely and it was quiet. Well organised site with great showers, toilets and washing up areas. Very clean. We went on a lovely long walk Saturday around the forest and villages. Bury St Edmunds well worth a visit.

Excellent campsite, clean, well managed, great facilities

This site is a gem. Located well for forest, gardens and Bury St Edmunds. Cannot fault the facilities, well organised and super clean. Ticks all boxes.

Pleasant equestrian site

Clean, large campsite backing onto the King's Forest and onto Thetford Forest. Perfect for trail riders, whether horse (turnout paddocks), dirt bike (me) or mountain bike.

Peaceful stay in beautiful location

Campsite owner was so welcoming and helpful; facilities are excellent; location next to the forest is beautiful; and it is a genuinely peaceful site. This weekend was very hot - 34 degrees - and there isn't much shade on site, so we were glad we brought our gazebo.

Lovely location great for dog owners

Located between a country park with lake/river walk and a forest park.

Quiet relaxed site

Pleasant quiet site close to forests and country parks. Generous size pitches and extremely clean toilets, showers and basins. Only downside was the lack of grass - very dusty/sandy throughout - and a lot of flying bugs and ants. Would have liked some sort of reception - had to track down staff to ask where to pitch, etc. on arrival.

Four day break

Great location. Clean and tidy site with excellent facilities, always clean and fully replenished. The surrounding areas have lots of places to visit and the big plus is, you are on the doorstep of the forest, great walks with the dog.

Lovely site, but it was really windy, its a pity there aren't any hedges to protect you from the elements!

Just lovely and great facilities

Lovely stay, we live nearby but was so surprised of what's nearby we were not aware of. We visited Lakeland lakes just a few minutes drive away, just beautiful. People around the site were updating us of where they had been each day so we will definitely return to visit some of the other places. Facilities were so clean and well looked after. Site was quiet and well cared for.

Non electric pitch

This is a lovely campsite. We stayed for a night on a non-electric pitch. The area allocated for these pitches is a big grass field bordered by hedgerows and horse paddocks. It was very peaceful, and a fairly short walk gave access to the campsite facilities, which included showers, toilets, pot wash stations, fresh water points, etc, all at a good standard of cleanliness, though very limited cleaning materials were provided for the pot wash. There was no litter and the whole place appeared well cared for. I'd recommend Kings Forest Caravan and Camping Park.

Bunnies & birdsong, a hidden gem of a campsite

Having purchased a new tent, I wanted to find somewhere to try it out and found Kings Forest. Adult only was important and availability to pitch a quite big tent on a flat pitch also helped in the decision. Arrived on a Friday afternoon a bit later than planned thanks to the traffic, but we were met at the entrance by Jane and the gorgeous Ruby. We were the only tent in the non-electric field and had the pick of the field so got the tent set up and had a wander round the site. The new toilets and washing facilities in the non-electric field will be great once fully up and running but we enjoyed the walk to the main washing up point each day, listening to the birdsong and watching the bunnies in the hedgerows. The facilities available are everything you could want with great showers, pot washing area and dog washing area too - we didn't bring our dogs this time but maybe next time. On the evening of our final night , we were treated to a gorgeous sunset and were serenaded by a Peacock that was far enough away not to be too loud! The site itself is in an ideal location to explore Bury St Edmunds being no more than 15 minutes away, opposite the West Stow Anglo Saxon village and country park and 5 minutes from the Lackford Lacks nature reserve. We will be back again!

Perfect, no flaws

Honestly blown away by this place, came here expecting your average campsite but this place is everything and more. Toilets were super clean and they were real toilets, access to water was perfect and the view from the field where we camped was fantastic. Could not fault it, will definitely be staying here again and again.

Great site!

Stayed for two nights, great location, friendly service at check in, nice and clean facilities and very well kept around the whole site. Couldn't fault a thing. We will be returning for sure!

Excellent spring stopover

This was our first stay here and we were impressed. Large plots, clean facilities and the other campers were really friendly. The location is excellent if you love walking and exploring. We will be back
