Single Axle Caravan - Silver Electric Hardstanding Pitches (The Paddock)Feb 2026

It was our first visit here and we were so impressed with the site. Very clean and the facilities were great. A very big area for dogs to exercise too. We had brought the wrong electric hookup cable and the woman in the reception lent us one. They were so friendly and helpful.

Lovely lodge, maybe a little overpriced

Glamping Cabin - The Woodland Ensuite Glamping Cabin with Hot TubAug 2024

Lovely lodge, maybe a little overpriced with not much going on around the site. The lodge was absolutely lovely, no expense spared on fixtures and fittings and a lovely hot tub. We just felt that for the price, which was £475 for 2 nights with nothing else included, it was a bit overpriced. We spent a bit of time over at Blakemere Village which had a couple of rides for the kids and some pretty mediocre food outlets, although the coffee shop did a lovely toastie. Extra activities like low ropes and crazy golf all at an extra cost, it's a shame there was nothing like this at the campsite. We enjoyed our stay overall but for the price, we wouldn't come back. Whilst we were there, all the lodges were empty, which in the middle of the summer holidays felt really unusual. Can't help but think if they were to lower the prices, they wouldn't be empty.

Site's response

Thank you for your review, Donna. We are glad you enjoyed your stay in the lodge and the hot tub, even though you thought it was a bit overpriced. We do have a play park on the touring park, which you were welcome to use (indicated on our on site map), together with a football area with goalposts on our front field. Lawn games were also available for hire for a £5 charge in our on site shop. We can see why it looked as though lodges were empty, but all 12 of our lodges had been occupied for the weekend for a wedding leaving 4pm Sunday afternoon, so we only turned around 3 for the confirmed bookings we had midweek, arriving Monday and Tuesday, as all the other lodges were being cleaned, laundry done and hot tubs emptied/cleaned and refilled for arrivals on Thursday or Friday for the Bank Holiday weekend, and also arrivals on Sunday and Monday.

Glamping Cabin - The Long Horn Ensuite Glamping Cabin with Hot Tub (Dog Friendly)Jul 2024

Great site, great park, lovely and clean and well maintained. Our lodge was perfect for a little get away. Smaller sofa and another bench for luggage would be good but otherwise couldn't fault it at all. Lovely, friendly staff.

Stayed in The Bee Lodge, beautiful lodge with everything we could have needed. Relaxing private hot tub, throughly enjoyed our weekend away.
