Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesAug 2026

Our third stay here and another which did not disappoint. This site is conveniently located for Peak District walks and visiting historic towns nearby like Bakewell and Matlock. The site is well kept and clean with friendly, helpful staff. Plenty of toilet and shower facilities. Nice little park at the top of the site, plus plenty of space on the fields to play. We will definitely stay again!

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1)Aug 2026

A lovely location with great views and friendly staff. Plenty of showers and toilets which were regularly cleaned. An ideal small park for young children however the swing could do with being oiled (very squeaky early in the morning) and some rickety climbing apparatus which could benefit from some updating. Overall we had a fab stay, we would definitely recommend and return in the future. Thank you!

Medium Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4)Aug 2026

We had a brilliant time over the last few days. Yes, the weather was glorious but the campsite location was brilliangt with amazing views, showers and toilet facilities were spot on and the playground was well used by the 10 kids in our party. They had a pizza truck on Friday night which was brilliant and the pubs down the road were great and we also took a drive to Ashford in the Water which was English beauty at it's best. Will def be returning to the campsite next year

A perfect couple of days

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1)Aug 2026

I haven't stayed on Barn Farm's campsite since pre Covid when I accompanied DofE students, and I have to say that the facilities on the site remain excellent. There was a warm greeting on arrival, with clear instructions of the site, plenty of pitching room. Spacious and clean shower cubicles, all free of charge, including hairdryers and lots of pot wash areas. The site provides a fridge and freezer, which was great, but was abused by other campers putting their, seemingly, weekly shopping in. I hope to return again soon.

Best campsite ever!

Small Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4)Aug 2026

Stayed at a lot of campsites in my time and this one stands out! The multiple facilities of toilets, showers and washing up areas were all great and clean. The peacocks wandering around and the alpacas was magical, with lovely walking trails and multiple fields open to explore. The staff were amazing, a lovely lady helped us at reception as we had a hardstanding campervan pitch and a tent pitch booked, and she helped us be set up next to each other. There were lots of bins about and water taps. Local pubs: The Druid Inn only served sausage rolls and pub snacks, and the other pub (Red Lion) is only open Thursday to Sunday which unfortunately didn't match up with our stay. Plus, on site there was a pizza van and a breakfast butty van that's also open on the weekend. So I imagine staying later on in the week is even better than what we got to experience. Overall, loved this campsite!

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1)Aug 2026

My friend and I had a wonderful 4 night stay. We found a fairly level part of the sloping field. We could park the car next to the tents. The spot was convenient for the toilets, showers, shop etc. We were there during the heatwave but the surrounding trees provided excellent shade in the mornings. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Emma who helped us with walk recommendations and phone charging. The campsite is well maintained and in a great spot for local walks and surrounding towns. We would definitely come back to this campsite and explore more of the beautiful landscape of the Derbyshire Dales.

Splendid as always

Large Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4)Aug 2026

First time for us here and we enjoyed a wonderful three nights in a large family group. French feel to the site with shop and onsite catering vans at the weekend. Very busy on a hot summer weekend. The site is well set up however and seemed to cope well with this. On Friday, there was a significant amount of late night noise but ok the other two nights we were there. We particularly liked access to a fridge and freezer. Children loved the games room and the products on sale in the shop.

Another brilliant weekend!

Medium Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4)Aug 2026

We love this campsite and have been twice this year already. It is great for families, groups of families and dogs! There is plenty to keep the children occupied (play park, games room and shop) and always feels safe and friendly. Added bonus is the free showers! Only downside is The Druid pub. No longer serves food, but this is not a problem when they have food vendors on site!

Absolutely loved it here, facilities were clean and well kept. Staff couldn’t be more helpful after I sprained my ankle on the first day. Kids loved the peacocks and there was even a pizza van on the evenings and a butty van in the morning! 10/10 site will definitely be back.
