Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJul 2026

Perfect location for walks and to the summit of Mount Snowdon, very clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful and friendly, great facilities and food. Looking forward to staying again in the future.

We had the most amazing time! There is everything and more that you need at this campsite, there is a lake, bar, pizza place also jacket spuds, which were really nice! It's also right near Watkins Path with the fairy pools. Thank you for having us!

Backpacker Tent - Small Non Electric Grass Pitches (No Vehicle)Jul 2026

Magnificent location at the foot of Snowdon with great access to the lake. Thr site was spacious, well laid out, allowed you to choose your own plot to set up tent. Facilities (showers) were excellent.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJul 2026

We were due to stay two nights but left after one. The campsite is so busy, there is no privacy and tents very close to each other. Dreadful nights sleep, people laughing and screaming until early hours of the morning. Lots of large groups who don’t seem to have respect for others. There’s no staff going around instilling rules or ensuring the place is clean. The showers don’t open until 7am in the morning which is a pain. There’s huge queues then, with a line of people waiting for around five showers. The shower facilities are poor and very dated, having to press the shower on/off button every few seconds to stop it from going off. The port-a-loo style toilets around the camp and filthy and smelly. Really disappointing stay. It was so unbearable we packed up the next morning and left, paying again to stay somewhere else.

My stay was poor. The staff were rude and seem to make up rules on the spot, on how they feel you are behaving group by group.

We booked this site for a weekend trip to hike Snowdon and we weren't disappointed. Beautiful scenery, facilities were clean, easily accessible and the team there were welcoming and helpful. Even though the campsite was full, there was enough space and room to not be completely on top of each other. We liked how they provided raised fire pits so we could have a camp fire. The wood and all the bits you need were a fair price too. We will 100% book here again when we are next in Wales.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJun 2026

The view of where I was set up was perfect, right next to the river, couldn't have had a better place to pitch up. First few nights were perfect really chilled and quiet. Last couple of nights were ruined when groups of people pitched up really close to my tent, much closer than 6m, when we were told tents had to be 6m apart, so was a bit frustrated when this happened. Was also told noise has to be down and completely out by 12, which people around me weren't and was playing music until late and being very noisy. I put a bottle of water in the freezer ready to climb Snowdon. The next morning at 2am, I went to get my water out and someone had stolen it, so had to climb Snowdon with no water at all. Then that same evening, I had an early night and someone used my whole bag of kindling and fire wood and used my bin to have a fire right outside my tent while I was asleep, even though my chairs and all my stuff was out there with it and you would clearly see it was someone's. It's a beautiful campsite and if you're ok with a busy, hectic and loud campsite, then I would highly recommend, has everything you need - toilets, showers, hot water, microwave, shop on site. Water sports and even does breakfast and dinner. But if you're looking for something a bit more quiet and chilled a bit more relaxed then wouldn't recommend this campsite. Even with its faults, me and my partner really did have the best time. The lake was so lovely, we ended up leaving Wales with paddle board watch that we ended up buying from Go Outdoors and spent every day out on the water.

Absolutely stunning site. The staff were friendly and helpful. The shop had some good stock but the food and Stout on draught was phenomenal. I would recommend bringing flip-flops to the showers as they don't quite slope all the way to the drain, but it was all clean. Couldn't have asked for a better camping site.

Great campsite and great home brewed beer

Camping was great. A bit on the expensive side but can see they are putting a lot of work and money into creating a great campsite.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJun 2026

Good campsite in a great spot, lots of facilities, showers, bar, shop. Great views from the campsite. Definitely recommend. Was nice and quiet when I was there, could be busy during weekends and school holidays. Fair price for the amount of facilities

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2026

This campsite is well run, friendly and has lots of little luxuries, like a boiling water point and microwaves in addition to the obvious luxury of the brewery and pizza place. I really enjoyed my time there. Staff were super friendly. The main downside was that the site was huge and fully booked the weekend I went, so it did feel pretty crowded. However, it was half term and excellent weather, so I don't think it would normally be like that.

Great site ruined by midges

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2026

Really nice site, however a midge infestation made the experience terrible and we only ended staying one night :( From dusk and dawn, they were everywhere and biting, and it's been painful and itchy since. So - cannot fault the facilities and site itself, and the location, which were all really nice, but sadly cannot recommend at least during midge season :(

Wonderful!

We're a regular here, and the site have acted on feedback from clients: toilets now open 24 hours, upgraded the eating area, have a sperate bar,.more warden visibility and improved the access road. A great stay as usual - breath taking views.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2026

Great site to tackle the 'Watkin Path' with fabulous facilities. Ticks a lot of boxes. I visited when site full for Spring half term but it never felt overcrowded. Respectfully campers. Quiet after 11pm. Only downside was the midges which were rampant. That's nature for you though. 45 minute walk to beginning of Watkin path up Snowdon. Great pizza and beers onsite.
