Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Kingfisher Touring Pitches Jul 2026 lovely site on the River Waveney , nice to see a small marina there, roads to access the site from the main road rather narrow but there are some passing places along the road.
We will stay again.
Great location, great facilities
Medium Tent - Electric Bittern Grass Pitches Jul 2026 I'm only rating this place down because of the restaurant, which was massively overpriced, below average quality and poor service.
The food was touted to be homemade, but was seemed to be just microwave meals that cost nearly £20 a plate! I barely ate any of mine, nor did my son and when the manager came to take our plates and ask us if everything was ok, I told her it wasn't and that the food was disappointing, but she didn't we seem to care at all.
Outside of the restaurant, all other staff were lovely and couldn't do enough to help us. A nice campsite in a lovely location with great facilities, it's just a shame about the restaurant. We would come back again, we just wouldn't eat onsite.

Site needs general cleaning and maintenance, like the hard standing base / gravel trap is dangerously coming up from ground as you walk to the toilets, a trip hazard. Some of the decking boards around marina are broken. The windows to the swimming pool are filthy. The decking, glass balustrade and outside tables at the onsite pub are all well overdue a good clean.
On plus side, the pool, views and toilets are first class.

Great to have the pool and restaurant. I'd really like to see the pool and reception open until 7pm (especially on long sunny days) and more vegan and gluten free food available in the restaurant. The booking of the pool does make everything feel a bit stilted.
We were the only ones in our time slot but still asked to leave after an hour when only a couple more people came in. I can see why it's needed at busy times but a little more "relax your on holiday" would be welcome when it isn't.

Lovely and friendly
Large Tent - Electric Moorhen Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2026 We enjoyed our stay very much. It was our second time there.
We enjoyed the view, the atmosphere at the campsite. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. One thing I should mention that as we spoke to other campers, they did not realise that the pool is included. Please mention it when the guests arrive, you might have more people using it. We did not mind having it to ourselves, just need to be fair on all the guests.
We found the walks are just enough for our kids, they call the little walk by the river "deep, deep forest", it is so funny.
One thing that I need to bring up is the prices at your restaurant. I wouldn't normally mind paying the price if the price adheres to the quality of food. On this occasion, it was not the case. It is too pricey, but this is the only complaint.

No waste water point on our fully serviced pitch, but not a problem.
A very peaceful location. A pity bar/ restaurant doesn't open longer, especially at weekends. Always felt we were being rushed out for 9pm.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Kingfisher Touring Pitches Jun 2026 We had Kingfisher pitch no 8 overlooking the marina. It was ideal.
Our meal in the Waveney Inn was excellent, and can really recommend the steak and ale pie. The swimming pool was warm and inviting, and the staff couldn't have be more helpful.
We found all the facilities especially the closed in bathrooms to be fully functional and extremely clean. We would return.

Waveney River Centre 24 06 26 Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Kingfisher Touring Pitches Jun 2026 booked whilst travelling thru and stopped an extra night.So so nice. pitches right on the river. Facilities very clean.. and i mean.. very clean. Restaurant and Bar.. small shop but ample for what you need.. no luxuries essentials.. thats what we look for. Staff.. super team.. always time for a chat and help.. from us thank you Brendan and Mel in boat sales pleasure to meet up and have a natter.

Fabulous site and location
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Kingfisher Touring Pitches Jun 2026 Fabulous facilities with individual bathrooms. Spotlessly clean. Relaxing and lovely watching the various boats sailing past. Superb restaurant and bar serving lovely food. Access is ok but be aware that it's a single road with passing bays for the final mile or so to the site. Make sure you follow the brown road signs. Highly recommend

Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2026 Location was lovely, except it was quite narrow lanes for motorhome to get to it.
Lovely views over the marshes and river, nice and quiet, could be quite busy in high season. Pitches were quite private but there were cigarette buts and bits of paper on pitches, could have done with a tidy up. Toilet facilities were good, showers were further away, could do with a little shelf to put shower gel and stuff on. All had to go on floor.
Altogether, we had a good holiday.

Location is very picturesque, site is clean and tidy
Twin Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2026 Only issues we had were that the pitch we was allocated was lacking the gravel grids so my caravan sank into the sand base. I tried to move it over a few times but it was just getting buried so moved pitch.
Hedges not cut back or even trimmed which meant the already small pitch was even smaller unless you park in the branches. I understand you cannot cut these a certain times but you can run a cutter up the edge just to maintain the growth.
Amazing stay
Motorhome - Electric Heron Touring Pitches Jun 2026 We had a lovely stay at Waveney River Centre with our motorhome. The location is beautiful and peaceful, right by the river, with amazing views and plenty of nature around. The site was clean, well maintained and the facilities were excellent.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. It’s a perfect place to relax, enjoy walks and explore the beautiful Norfolk countryside.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to other motorhome travellers. We will be coming back!
The only thing I would suggest is trimming back the bushes along the road leading to the site. The road is quite narrow, and with a motorhome there is not much space, so cutting the bushes back would make access easier and safer for larger vehicles.
Apart from that, we had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed our time at Waveney River Centre.

Motorhome - Electric Heron Touring Pitches Jun 2026 Very nice location I recommend booking a hardstanding pitch for a lovely view over the marina. Toilets and showers were clean. The pub is very clean and the food was very good. Just take note of food serving times. Very relaxed atmosphere with great staff. It's best to access the site via the route recommend for lorry's as the sat navigation route is via a extremely narrow lane. Really enjoyed our stay
Very remote Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2026 Too remote. We only stayed 1 night from the 4 we booked. Not enough activities to do. Would benefit from the bar restaurant opening a bit later, rather than 9.00pm to combat the boredom.

The camping facilities were spotless and the showers were some of the best we have seen touring.
