We booked this site to allow us to break our journey from the North of England to Portsmouth. What a gem! Beautifully kept site, well stocked shop, quirky and interesting vibe, we ate a gorgeous full English breakfast, cooked by the chef whilst looking out over the Oxford canal, it really is a wonderful place with rare breed pigs (absolutely no smell whatsoever!) and ducks just all add to the charm of the place. Well worth a visit.
Good value and pleasant

Stayed for just one night on my way back home following a few days away. Nice location next to the Oxford Canal. Although, it's also close to the M40, I think, so a bit of noise from that, but it didn't affect my sleep. Great value I thought. I arrived after the closure time of 6pm but this was not a problem and I let them know in advance. Others arrived later than me as well. It was fun staying with the pigs, I went to say hello before relaxing with a drink. The facilities are limited, like no showers, but you are informed of this beforehand so it was not a problem for me. The breakfast bought on site in the morning was excellent. One other critical point was that there was not a sign on the main road that I saw, so I went right past it initially, but it is shortly after the bridge over the motorway (or before depending on your direction of travel) so bear that in mind when locating it.
Lovely site, friendly staff & good atmosphere

Check-in was smooth & friendly, portaloos were clean & despite being on a pig farm, it was really quiet during the night! The food from the Trough was excellent, fresh & tasty - so much so that we didn't do any cooking ourselves. We'd planned to walk into Adderbury but the road is busy & no footpaths but a walk along the canal was just as good. Trotters bar was good & entertainment in The Sty (a singer/guitarist) was a nice surprise. The site is in a great location right on the banks of the canal. There was a nice atmosphere and other guests were respectful regarding noise later on. This was our maiden voyage in our campervan & it couldn't have gone better 😊😊😊
