Clear filters Peaceful first trip
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Mar 2025 The was booked for our first outing. We arrived at 7pm and were allocated a lovely spot just opposite the marina.
There's a nice shower/toilet block which is very clean and warm. Good facilities for washing and rubbish removal. There's a café on site which serves a lovely breakfast and is open between 8am-4pm. Easy walking distance to town where there's a B&M and a Lidl for those forgotten necessities. The pebble beach is very close with lovely walks nearby.
In all, a lovely site with really nice staff, I'd definitely go again.

Little gem of a site
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Dec 2024 What a find this site is, with stunning views of the Marina & Solway Firth. It is a great location for touring the area with Allonby & Silloth-on-Solway only a short distance away.
The site is spotless, the toilets and showers were lovely and warm, even in the middle of the night. It is only a 10 minute walk into town where there are plenty of places for food and drinks. We particularly liked the Lifeboat Inn and the portions are huge & great value.
We would definitely recommend Harbour Side and are already booking our next visit

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Nov 2024 First time here on a stopover up to the Scottish Borders. A lovely site and team, with clean and warm facilities. Bonus, there was clean water on the pitch.
The café on site for breakfast was a bonus. A lovely cheerful team and beautiful harbour setting. This is a good site to stop at. We will definitely come back here.
Fabulous location, friendly welcome
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Nov 2024 A fabulous little site in a unique and interesting location, sandwiched between the small commercial harbour and the marina in this quiet part of Cumbria.
The facilities are modern and clean and there is the fabulous, dog-friendly Marina View Cafe on the site. Lovely coastal walks both north and south of the harbour entrance as well as pubs and a few shops in the town.
Fantastic campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Oct 2024 Loved this campsite, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were well looked after and clean. Right by the sea with a great walk, along the front just a step from the site. Large green space in front to walk my dog.
The fish and chips at Cross Quays were very good. It was close to the lakes for hiking.

Wet and windy!
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Sep 2024 Winds gusting up to 50mph and torrential rain, so not an auspicious stay. Facilities are super clean but sadly not enough showers and toilets when it's busy. Came home early due to foul weather and today the sun shines. Staff are lovely 😁

Great little chippy which serves delicious fish 'n' chips (but only accepts cash) and cooked to order so be prepared to wait.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Aug 2024 You could not fault the campsite it was very clean and the staff were lovely.
We went into town for fish and chips which were first class, but not a lot more to say about the town.
Unique spot to take a break
Large A-class or Tag Axle Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Aug 2024 This campsite is in an amazing and unique spot. The surrounding marina is a joy to see every day, fresh fish from the harbour when a small trawler docks. Some nice walks to round off a lovely break.
Lovely site

The staff were really friendly and gave good advice on local dining options. Short walk to local pubs with good food and drinks at great prices. And really good local dog walking too.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Jul 2024 Site was lovely and spotlessly clean. Maryport let the site down, as it felt a little rundown, but loved the harbour and the peace and quiet.
Brilliant first time in a pod
Camping Pod - Camping Pods (Dog Friendly) Jul 2024 One small thing - no HDMI socket, an easy fix, just change the a socket.
Brilliant, a toaster would be spot on.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Jun 2024 Beautiful aquarium visit. Sadly, all the little shops in town closing down. Local pub meal was tasty, friendly people and service.
Our first trip
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Jun 2024 We recently bought our first campervan and this was our first campsite we stayed at. In a great location and quiet, staff great, facilities modern and clean and very reasonable price. Couldn't ask for any more.
Harbour stay

Harbour Side Caravan Site in Maryport
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Apr 2024 A great site located at the Harbour in Maryport, catering for Motorhomes and touring caravans. There was also the option of 3 camping pods which were all clean, compact with easy access.
The hardstanding area's, are gravel with scope to pitch your awning onto a grassed area, with water, electric and easy access.
Also being a compact site, the access to the shower and toilet facilities was no trouble, they were very clean and tidy.
There was a café and basic shop available on site. A short walk into Maryport there were shops, bars, takeaways and bric-a-brac shops. There is also lovely harbour to walk round with views across the sea.
Walking or cycling was made easy with good paths to follow. We will visit again and also recommend trying the site.
