About the site


If you are looking for a peaceful countryside escape surrounded by wildlife, open space, and animals, this working farm could be the ideal spot. Wake up to birdsong and the sounds of rural life, with woodland walks from the site leading to the charming village of Loggerheads. The site offers 60 non electric grass pitches, suitable for tents, trailer tents and motorhomes up to six metres in length. Ten of these are backpacker pitches for cyclists and bikers (no vehicles) with their own small tent for a maximum of two people. Families, friends and groups can also enjoy exclusive use of the camping field, with plenty of space for children to play, explore and enjoy the outdoors. Guests can experience life on the farm by meeting the animals on most weekdays with the farmer, including pigs, piglets, cattle and calves. There's plenty to explore nearby, with Trentham Estate and Stoke-on-Trent both just a 25 minute drive away. Alternatively, simply relax onsite and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. For walkers and cyclists, there are routes directly from the site through woodland, farmland and quiet country lanes. Local area maps are available to borrow from the farm shop, helping you discover the best of the surrounding countryside. Dogs are welcome, provided they are kept on a lead and supervised. If making a fire, fuel, logs and coal must be purchased onsite.

Guests have access to eco-friendly composting toilets using sawdust, flushing toilets and showers. There is also a washing up area and a communal fridge.

The site follows a 'Leave No Trace' ethos and encourages guests to bring food in reusable containers wherever possible. Please take your rubbish home with you, although recycling bins are available if needed.

Guests can purchase a selection of fresh, local produce directly from the site, including free-range eggs, beef burgers, pork sausages and bacon, as well as everyday essentials such as bread, milk, breakfast cereals and ice cream.

For additional essentials, the village of Loggerheads is a ten minute drive away, with small shops, a pub and an Indian restaurant.

Spacious non electric grass pitches measuring 10m x 10m, suitable for tents, trailer tents, campervans and motorhomes under 6m.

10 x Non Electric Grass Backpacker Pitches

Non electric backpacker pitches for cyclists and bikers with their own small tent, no vehicles. A maximum of two people allowed.

20 x Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches

Max 4 people

Non electric grass pitches for motorhomes and campervans. Please note that vehicles must be no larger than six metres in length due to access restrictions.

Guests are welcome to check in between 2pm and 8pm. Please update the site if you are delayed. Check out is due before noon on your final day.

Yes, four-legged friends are welcome to join you on your stay, but please keep them on a lead as the site is on a working farm. There are plenty of great dog walks nearby.

Yes raised BBQs and campfires are permitted, perfect for al fresco dining in the evenings.

Pitches

Awnings and gazebos are welcome free of charge but pup tents are not permitted.

Facilities

Yes, the sells free rangs eggs, along with beef and pork, bacon and sausages, shop-bought bread, milk, cereal and ice creams. There is also a Co-op close by should you need it.


A note from the site themselves...

We are excited to share with you our campsite, rurally based on a working farm with beef cows and their calves, pigs and piglets and horses. This can be booked by you for your exclusive use with your group/friends for the weekend, or during the week; we take ad hoc bookings. Our back-to-basics site ensures you can switch off from the outside world.

Our idyllic setting is near Market Drayton on the Staffordshire/Shropshire border, home to us, the Pimlott family. Park Hill is a working farm every day of the year. Your basic needs will be met by us/our site, but you will have perfect peace, at one with nature. We look forward to welcoming you very soon.

For guests who love being in the outdoors with plenty of walking trails to explore, Hawkstone Park Follies is just a 25 minute drive away, where you can discover 100 acres of parkland with wildlife spotting opportunities, along with an arboretum and historic follies.

Trentham Estate is also around 25 minutes away, set across 725 acres offering lake boat trips, wildlife cruises, daytime wildlife safaris, disc golf, a miniature railway, a monkey forest and even treetop adventures, making it the perfect day out with something for all ages!

If you fancy a day of shopping, Stoke-on-Trent (25 minutes) has plenty or visit Waterworld, a tropical-themed water park, great for warmer days, and Ninja Warrior UK Adventure Stoke for those looking to test their skills and take on a challenge.
