We caught the Newhaven ferry the next day and the warden was very helpful and obliging opening up the barrier a bit before 7am. Nice 20 minute walk through the castle to the pub.

We were very impressed with the site, from the wonderful welcome at reception, the cleanliness of the facilities, the wonderful walks and the amazing variety of animals. Would definitely recommend it to other motorhomes.

Had non hook up for 2 nights, field is mostly flat and well maintained. Shop is well priced and everywhere kept clean. Facilities dated but cleaned daily and working just fine. Loved seeing all the animals on the walk round the farm, also had the biggest enclosed dog field I've ever seen! Visited Eastbourne and Pevensey Bay while there. Loved it!

Very nice welcome from the on site manager who couldn't have been more helpful. Small shop offering a good selection of goods. Pitches were nice and even and spacious. Farm animals were a nice touch, especially as they were well acquainted with visitors and were quite happy to come right up to you to be petted (or preferably fed, if they had any say). Several historic landmarks nearby, as well as pubs and a fish and chip shop, all within walking distance. The fact that there was a railway station within 5 minutes or so was an added bonus as it allowed you to explore further afield. Will definitely be back.

Great campsite, well equipped and some lovely farm animals to see as well. We were very impressed with this campsite after our stay there. We had hook up pitch, site is mainly level and had mix of tents, campervans and caravans. Toilets are kept clean and in good state, the washing up zone was fine and the showers were very good. There did appear to be all the things needs for grey water etc for campervans and caravans. For us the location was good, there is good access via road to the site, pub(s) in walking distance, and railway station really handy for trips along the coast if you don't fancy driving. Also, good access to nice walks on Pevensey Levels and also to National Cycling Routes. Larger supermarkets also not to far away in Eastbourne. Before we got to the site, we had been a bit put off by the big list of rules and "do's and don'ts", and in particular the "no children" and "no commercial vehicles" but once there and speaking to the owners, they had clearly suffered substantial issues (and damage) from children who were not controlled so had, reluctantly, had to impose these conditions. But the atmosphere on site was very friendly and the owners/wardens were very friendly and helpful. There is the remnant of a working farm at the end of the main field, so some lovely animals to see (sheep & lambs, pigs, donkeys, Shetland ponies, peacocks, guinea fowl plus hens) . There is also a further large camping field without hook-ups beyond the animals plus a very large field for dog exercising.

Nice campsite behind some workshops. A bit of noise came from the workshops. A truck starting and cars at high rpm. Surroundings are gorgeous, by the way.

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with and apologies for the noise issue you encountered from our neighbours, who have been spoken to!

Lovely site and Tony was absolutely brilliant. Would have liked a bit more space between our pitches but that is just a personal observation. Loved the farm animals, even the noisy peacock who didn't stop us getting our sleep. In fact, out of four sites, it was a noticeable difference being in a child free zone. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed at this site for a week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The owner and warden were both very friendly and helpful. The site was very clean and tidy with plenty of toilets and showers with hot running water. Being an adult only site it was very peaceful and quiet but you had the benefit of all the animals to see. The fish and chip shop was close by which we used a couple of times. The train station was within easy reach. Will definitely be back for another stay. Our friends joined for the day and said how lovely it was.

This is a lovely little campsite with a friendly welcome and simple but good facilities. The campsite itself is quiet, even with the background noise of the peacock during the spring and summer months, although earplugs would be advised for any light sleepers! The shower was lovely and clean and the water nice and hot. The bonus of Wi-Fi throughout meant we could connect our firestick and stream the French open, so we were very happy. We had originally booked a non electric pitch as this was all that was available on the campsites' website, but we were able to be upgraded to the last electric pitch once we arrived, which was fantastic. The proximity to the train station is fantastic for getting out if you don't want to drive. I would recommend Rhean's coffee shop (on the way to the castle) for coffee and cake. We would definitely recommend this site and hope to return as we still have so much left to explore.

Fabulous dog/farm walk with lots of animals to see and great field for the dog. Proximity to station great for heading to Eastbourne or Hastings direction. Site itself is squeezed off a main road between a couple of business parks, but explore the farm walk and it feels like a different site. Friendly reception with a good little shop. Lots of rules and regs, but aimed at making it an enjoyable stay for all.

This is a lovely peaceful site with a lovely dog walk onsite. It was lovely walking through the animals and watching the birds. Although we were right next to them we never got woken up by the cockerel as I read in a previous review. The facilities are very clean and the showers are some of the best I have used. The site is not too big so don't have to walk miles to get to the toilet block and showers. Over all a lovely site will be back.

Nice little site. Very friendly. Seem to have a lot of regulars with seasonal pitches. Booked non electric pitch as electric wasn't available when we booked, but asked at check-in if there were any cancellations, and they found us an electric pitch. That was good as we were there for 6 nights.

This site is perfect for de-stressing. Lovely walks passed the goats, pigs, guinea foul. Peacocks (they love showing of their feathers) Shetland ponies. Donkeys. Chickens etc. Buy some food from reception for the 2 or 4 legged friends. A goat had issue with my jeans and bit them. My wife thought it was funny. It was. I'm not going to reveal the plot we were as we are rebooking in August. Staff super friendly and helpful. Had issue with electric hook-up. But swiftly sorted. Caught train by very nearby station at Westham/Pevensey. 2 stops to Eastbourne centre. 2 adults return - 9 quid.

Stayed for the bank holiday weekend. Received a warm welcome. Pitch nice and tidy and clearly marked. Original wash block is a bit dated, but new wash block next to it was excellent. Lots of seasonal pitches and a community spirit among them. Lovely dog walk on site. Dog field is not fenced in on all sides and a wet ditch at one end that our Springer found. Electrics good, water points were plenty. Will come again.

The welcome at the site was extremely friendly. We really enjoyed the tranquillity. The facilities, although a bit dated, are well-maintained and clean. The adjacent farm area with its animals is nicely laid out, and we were able to easily organize our tours from here using public transport. Translated from German.
