Lovely quiet campsite

We have had a lovely stay at this campsite. It is ideally situated for exploring the Lizard peninsula. The owner is very friendy and informative. It is a small site, with well spaced pitches and electric hook-ups. There is a modern, clean toilet and shower block with washing up facilities. The shop provides a range of food items, ice cream and gifts - even fresh brewed coffee. We would definitely recommend this campsite.

Remote site

This was a lovely site, clean facilities. The downside was that the walk to the beach and village was via a road over a mile walk and with dogs, not practical. Our large motorhome wouldn't have got down the beach, so the only option was to walk. You need a car at this site really if you want to venture out as you can't get far safely on foot. The site has a dog exercise field which was useful, and the little shop does lovely coffees in the morning.

Great

The site was very clean and well looked after. There was a fully stocked shop on site. The campsite is kind of close to a beach, it was a 38 minute walk downhill, then uphill on the way back. The walk wasn't very safe, but this isn't a reflection of the campsite itself (but be aware). The site was quite and peaceful.

Lovely campsite, would recommend

Lovely mid-size campsite with varied pitch types, set amongst green-space, with great facilities, friendly owner & little shop and only a short drive to lots of places. The shower and toilet block was spacious, very clean and came with hand soap and toilet roll and it had little shelves by sink and showers, which were really handy. Only slight improvement could be hooks in the toilet cubicles and potentially a hairdryer, although not essential! The washing up facilities were good too: outside but under cover, there were several large sinks and there was a fridge and freezer too, although didn't notice this until the last day! The site was quiet and peaceful, despite being next to a farm, and was an easy drive to many places of interest through pretty countryside & villages. One thing to note is that "feeding the ponies" was not an option (and the farm is off limits).

Thank you for your review, I'm sorry you didn't get to see the ponies. They are kept in the stable at the moment but are brought up to the site on request while they are not in the field.

Friendly owners

Very relaxed and friendly. Lovely little area to let dogs off lead. Fresh eggs for sale. New shower and toilet block with ladies, gents and family area.

Delightful, friendly, ideal location for exploring Lizard

Great communication with owner throughout our stay. Well managed site, very clean, tidy and well tended, green pitches. Hot showers, large cubicle size, soft lino floors, well vented toilets, covered washing up area kept clean and hygienic, plus the ratio of pitches to facilities was spot on. Fridges and freezers are offered for campers to use, which was very handy. Plus further facilities are currently under construction by the owners, which sound great. Pitch "pp pn" was the best value in the Lizard, plus it offered easy access to Helston. Helston offered plenty of pubs and eating options, which we were grateful for. We loved our stay and will definitely stay again.

Brilliant campsite

One of the best campsites we have been to. The lady who owns it is absolutely amazing, very friendly and very welcoming. Lovely, clean shower and toilet, and a big washing up area. Good space for the kids to run around. Absolutely brilliant. Very close to a town, beaches and other attractions. Not overly expensive, very good.

Wonderful stay

We had such a wonderful stay, the pitch was huge with lots of space between us and other campers. The lady in charge of the campsite was so accommodating, kind and friendly. We will definitely be back!

Great little campsite

We enjoyed our short overnight stay, the campsite is small and basic but in a good location with most local areas easily reached a short drive away. There is an attached field for exercising dogs which was very useful. The toilet and shower facilities were well looked after and in great condition. The owner was very helpful and was on hand for any issues. Overall a great campsite with sufficient room between pitches.

Peaceful and friendly

Great small campsite with good facilities. Host-friendly and caring. Good knowledge of the area. Owls and bats to watch. Nice walk down to village and coast. Foggy weather when we went but should imagine the views are great. Local pub didn't look much outside but inside was a treat. Fabulous food and staff and lovely ambience. Will definitely return.

Peaceful and close enough to amenities to venture out

Took my children between 8 and 14, upon arrival the owner was very friendly and welcoming. The site is clean and set in a peaceful location, the showers and toilets are clean and easily accessible. This isn't a huge site like some of the parks which is what we wanted. It is close enough to use as a base to venture out and explore. I would definitely recommend it and would return in the future.

Excellent campsite, great rates and friendly staff

Stayed for 2 days, the facilities are really clean and the site is in a great location, lovely beaches within a short drive. Tesco and Sainsburys within a 5 minute drive. Will definitely use again.

Lovely quiet, family friendly campsite

Great campsite and very friendly and helpful owners. The facilities are pretty much brand new and very good. The wet rooms are ideal with small children. Location is fantastic, we rode our bikes from the site all the way round and onto Church Cove. Great pub a short distance away too.

Lovely, quiet site

This is a lovely small site. Ideally situated for visiting different locations in Cornwall. The owners very friendly checking we ok but not intrusive. The facilities were nice and clean. For those not interested in entertainment and loud music, then this site is ideal. The price was very reasonable compared to lots of other sites we looked at. So I could say we got value for our money. Would highly recommend this site and hoped to stay again next year.

Potential

The site is clearly being developed and has great potential. Toilet and shower facilities are new and there are good washing facilities with fridges and freezer available to use. Would we stay again, be interested to revisit in time to see how the site has grown. My only criticism would be that there is no one on site. However, a number was provided to ask questions if required. See you again, thanks.

Lovely stay

This is a lovely campsite, would highly recommend. The location is great, the facilities were well equipped and clean. The site itself is very peaceful, we had plenty of space around us with access to electric point and water tap. The owners were friendly and helpful, as well as being easily contactable.

Such a lucky find!

I must say, I've been to a lot of campsites before, but this one really makes you feel refreshed after being out in the country. You can really find yourself relaxed in the showers and they have heated flooring?! The owner was super friendly and helpful, helped give up a pipe to fill our water with otherwise we would've been in trouble haha. Thank you for an amazing stay, would definitely book again.
